i have some pictures of the car. i took them 2 days after the race which was stopped due to heavy rain (you can see traces of dirt inside and outside the car) i ran 13.72 on the 400meters. i won the first round. it will be continued on january 8. i just retouched the artwork on the sprinter and added one more for the hood. check out the chick on top of my hood.

i probably would...... if the price is right... :hmm:

by the way, I'm roy. I'm from davao city, philippines. its quite unfortunate for me cause we don't have any carb reconditioners here. I'm one of the few toyota lovers racing in this honda land. not that i have anything against honda (cause i used to own one). i own two rollas now. a KE25 strictly for the quarter and an AE111 for our daily ride. sad to say, when i need something for the KE25, i have to order parts from somewhere else. regarding the carb prob. i'll ask my mechanic to use gasket paper. big thanks. p.s. i can't find any universal carb synchrometer in our area! i think i just have to ask my friend to order one for me from jcwhitney.

(I'm probably being laughed at now since i posted this again... i can't post the picture on the GENERAL MECHANICAL forum... well, stupid me....) has anyone replaced the gasket on this part of your carb? will silicone work even without opening the back lid of the carb? the mechanic said there's "air" coming out of it...

has anyone replaced the gasket on this part of your weber carb? is there a repair kit available or will silicone work even without opening the back lid? oooops, what happened? i can't attach a picture on my msg.

i hope it's weight is already in that range. when i got the car, my brother told me that they had 12 gallons of putty on it after they worked on the body. the paint job was really awesome- original purpose was to participate in a car show. the expenses on this car is really taking an arm and a leg. hahaha. p.s. hood and doors weighed 60 kilos!

hai! fly astro boy fly... how abt TAKUMI FUJIWARA? :D

toycrash, i already have fiberglass hood, doors. custom lightened trunk lid, we used a very very thin g.i. sheet. fiberglass front fenders on the works. i didnt touch the rear. windshield, still the original glass, and flexi-glass for the rest. its cheaper than polycarbonate. got no rollcage.

on going: 1. routine check up on clutch system. ( i can't afford the Exedy metallic clutch kit yet.) 2. change artwork on the sprinter. 3. strenghten traction bars.

thanks guys... the floor can wait. super jamie, i am so grateful you invited me to rollaclub. muchos gracias amigo. by the way, i use my ke25 only for the quartermile. my daily ride is an AE111. you might be asking why am i so concerned for my KE25's overall weight. its because i want to hold on to the title of having the quickest old school in our locality. hold on to the title just a little longer... any idea how i can max out my 2T engine? i already have 89mm Wiseco forged pistons on it. p.s. thank you. this site is very informative.
-
thanks rolla boy. ill take note of that. cool ride by the way...
-
thanks dude. actually aluminum flooring is legal here. i really want to copy those lightened 11 sec hondas with yep... aluminum floors... i may not be able to run 11s on the quarter but i have this feeling that a little anti-corrosion spray and rivets might just work. i don't know man... just a little anxious to lighten my car i guess..
-
i am planning to replace my current flooring with aluminum. pls let me know on the things to watch out for or the do's and don'ts on this. thank you. I'm on the process of making my ke25 racer a little lighter
