  1. not as yet, have to move houses as my housemate is selling up, i'm hunting for a house. figure sometime after the new year i'll get it tuned, contemplating just dropping it off somewhere to finish it as well
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_ZRhZXCDS0&feature=g-upl short clip from fridays efforts
  3. looks like my tuner has been absolutely flat out, can't get dyno time, might have to start looking at alternatives
  4. i went with the same logic and if it fails it won't cause any damage with regards to the car should be back on the dyno mid to late next week so either power or breakages again :) also have a gopro and DSLR i'll try get some footage with
  5. made these up to fix my tailshaft issue, getting the shaft shortend 15mm as well hope to get it all back together next week. other than that i went to PCM in melbourne today and i am insanely excited to get behind this thing
  6. car was ok, copped a driveline vibration due to the pinion angle and halted the session, i'm making up adjustable lower control arms this week and then i'll book back in
  7. both brushless DC motors, no difference in operation, i chose the fish tank pump due to the flow rates, i've set it all up and so far it works a treat. On top of that i have a few failsafes with warning lights on motor failure and also limp home mode via the ECU if the in take temps climb too high
  8. booked for saturday the 15th to get tuned, used a fish tank pump for the water to air setup works a treat
  9. this is my water to air setup, the top hose goes to the heat exchanger under the floor, the hose in the middle goes to the cooler in the bay and there is a hose going from the cooler to the heat exchanger what i'm stuck with is the best place to put the pump as it has to push water through the cooler but also lift water out of the heat exchanger to the reservoir I'm tossing up between two intank lift pumps, on to lift into the reservoir and one to pump up to the cooler
  10. Sadly not yet, I'm stuck on my water to air pump, besides that its ready to get tuned, spoken with the tuner he's ready to tune when I am
  11. not the video i want to post but some people might be interested http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5ZikJCsgfg&feature=g-upl
  12. set backs, if you've built a car and never had them i envy you
  13. not sure when it's hitting the track i just keep getting set back after set back, box and valve springs should be done this weekend with any luck. I'll organise the dyno after that and report back after any set backs haha power wise I'm not fussed, running around 7psi just after safe easy power
  14. little update fittings, valve spring compressor, valve springs, converter locator and finally water to ice res

  16. that's just before the box came out, it's missing a spacer and a support bush i was lucky enough to find, putting some valve springs in it as the stock ls1 springs are dog shit. plan is 1 month from now onto the dyno and tuned, trailer is registered now tows like a dream, trying to organise a half cage for this shit box too if anyone knows of one to pass CAMS pm me please

  18. little update, I'm still looking for a setup to suit my water to air cooler also in the process of trying to fit a digital speedo to my power glide i need the signal for my ecu. who ever built the box removed the speedo drive gear on the output shaft and they are a nightmare to replace trailer is getting registered monday also
  19. this to this in 2 days, transport issues nearly solved
  20. engine mounts are 6mm mild steel with 10mm top plate, welded to the k frame, engine is solid mounted i sourced a tandem, the floor for it arrives today, i'll post some pics when I'm finished besides that car needs some plates made up for the tailshaft loop and i need to fasten the exhaust properly and the hardest part left is setting up the water to air cooler. trying to find a heat exchanger has been a bit of a pain
  21. things have slowed right down, poor weather, hard to find a dyno, finishing all the loose ends. i'm also looking for a trailer to cart this thing around, either a tandem or i'm half tempted to build a bobby trailer and tow the car backwards
