  1. Started making my own relay box and running engine wires and all that jazz. I want this f@$ker to runnnnnn. Electrickery is fail.
  2. yeah man, as far as I'm concerned come nick it whenever.
  3. zomg! http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?tit..._AE86_Fuel_Tank I did this but with my ke70. Was a bit more of a tight fit but its in.
  4. shave the head a bit, sand down the bores. see how she goes! :bash:
  5. One piece tailshaft? What's that to suit? How far away is your car from hitting the road? Be good to ahve a comparo when both cars are together :bash:
  6. Shall get back to you Adam. Willing to separate Dizzy from the head?
  7. Did you get the MAP sensor? How about igniter?
  8. Sweet as, was just thinking about this. Good idea Daven. Try the Inox/WD40 spray thing for air leaks birdman, see how you go. I'm making progress... Motor is in and fuel system done (bar wiring the pumps) but now I'm up to wiring the motor in and to be honest I have no f@$ken idea where to start, not even sure if the loom/ecu combinations I have will work. Tis a real headf@$k. Going to take planning but not really sure how to start... Would be good if my supposed AE82 ECU matched part numbers with the rest of em! Does anyone else have access to an AE82 4AGE ECU so I can check the difference? EDIT: Just rememebred that you've got that AE82 Adam. Could I pinch a few bits off that possibly? or at least come and look at it if these people across the road don't let me snoop around their Twincam hatch.
  9. Progress..!
  10. Ouch. What were you defected for?
  11. Hey c**ts, whats cracking? I'm slowly slowly getting there with my white car... Have a healthy GE now and its sitting downstairs all converted to rwd... just need to finish fuel system. Get a few things for motor - oil filter, belts etc. then slap it in and the fun of wiring... Pretty stoked though. Fair bit to go in a sense, but the end is in sight! How are everyones cars? If anyone even comes here anymore.
  12. Sorry to hear that Adam. Good luck with everything. Can't even imagine...
  13. As far as I know you will need the crossmember and tailshaft too. Starter shouldn't matter.
  14. I'll keep it in mind, waiting to hear back on another motor/head today so we shall see. And I won't be trekking down south. Have fun
  15. How did that motor compression test out again? And what sort of $ would you want for the head?
  16. My white car is finally rollable. Seems a bit higher than I wanted but eh, all legal and nice and matched (ish) so we shall see how much lower it gets with the rest of the heavy go bits in it. Slow slow progress though. Need to do the hydraulic clutch conversion next. Then sort fuel system...Whilst at the same time finding the bits to make my other 4AGE bits work! What was the go with your bigport 4AGE head adam?
  17. Mini-bump. Is it possible to put a ball joint back in the car with the control arm still in place?
  18. where its going on? As in the shop? Northern Engine Parts
  19. Bead blasting, pressure testing, grinding and re cutting 16 valves and seats, decking the head and then setting clearances It's not too bad, just a lot of money!
  20. I shall find out! Bring on the 24 second passes
  21. It's rediculous you can buy a 4AGE head thats healthy cheaper than you can rebuild one... Anyone have spare shims so I can set valve clearances?
  22. Theres a difference between needing to and wanting to! Get into it! 15th is the drag day is it? Reckon the yellow rolla would past scruitineering?
  23. All changed, vise grips to hold the shock to get them off and then after taking them apart I understand what the others were saying about the straight tops on the shock rod and how it locks in. It all comes together now! Now just to change the wheel bearings and put on new discs and rekit the brake calipers. Then I'll have... pretty boring ke70 struts! Regretting getting whiteline springs now, still seem very soft. But I suppose I shall see when I finally get to drive zis beasty. Oh, one other thing albeit it only semi-related. Is the seal on the back of the hub that stops the larger roller bearing escaping reuseable or should I have a new one for a new set of wheel bearings?
  24. The strut top isn't locked to the shock though so bracing or holding that does nothing to assist with undoing the nut? I don't need the shocks so out come the multigrips I'm thinking.
  25. Dang, need to go to a mates then. Fail boat. And yes, I did have spring compressors on, I'm not a complete numpty. What a pain, ah well... another day.
