  1. Yo guys, sup? I'm back in D town for a while as a few of you know. Don't suppose anyone has a spare 4AGE Oxygen sensor floating about? I shoudl really put one in... but don't want to fork out for a newy. Go stooge go!
  2. I thought you had a gze + turbo to go with the car andrew? That would have been 130-150odd kw in a sub ton car easy. Shit would have flown. Anyway, all the best and all that. How are you lot? Uni pretty much blows, not sure what I'm doing but eh, soldier on and hope it works out! Be back friday week though for a week. So be going for a drive around then a fair bit! Pity it seems like theres no motorsport on in that week, but ah well. Might go down to hughes and kill a set of tyres or something. Have you sold that T series diff yet andrew? If no, how much would you want for it?
  3. It's probably been covered... but why not just finish the KE70...!
  4. I'm taking a stab, but I reckon a T25G off an SR20 could put 15 psi into a 1.6L motor. Should ask what CA18 guys run with that turbo.
  5. yeah my car was awfully close to 8 on the tacho a couple of times and sitll pulling strong. I'll try keep it to 7 or so for now... but still... Might put the JDM ecu in and see if I notice any difference... I have a good system going in the car though - it leaks so I have a towel... towel gets wet mopping up so I leave it on the passenger foot well where the heat from the ehxaust dries it. Flawless. Adam. when do you want to come and get the head. It doesn't appear to have all the cam shaft caps... I think they must have gone AWOL at the block.
  6. That is a LOT of money to bomb on a car... regardless of its creed. Just get the stock FX and enjoy it Daven. 4AGE + extractors and exhaust will be more than enough to keep you amused for a while I reckon. Oh and apart from the machining in that list you could do it all yourself, be a bit of a pain sure. But no real biggy... Enjoying driving my car, put some oil in the diff today... no more whine! However got a leaky f@$ken caliper still. It's a ghost problem, keeps coming back! Also, where is stock rev limit on a bigport? ...Haven't found it yet...
  7. Cars all fixed, been driving around sounding like a hektik cannon'd up excel. So far no more issues. Touch wood.
  8. and I broke it about half an hour after I said the above... clutchline melted on extractors... sigh. Getting another one made up tomorrow that should be no issue... Pain in the arse to say the least though!
  9. Rego'd with money borrowed from the girlfriend. Insured cause our insurance guy doesn't need money up front. and $20 petty in the tank = $2 in my bank account. Woo. But I can drive it! :P :) :P :(
  10. Think I'll just rego it for a week, cane it. Probably break something though. Think the gearbox is a bit sad... I'm off to Melbourne to give Uni a crack. Will see how it goes... will be a totally different lifestyle... going to be interesting to say the least. Not having a party as such, don't really feel like I'm going anywhere yet. Probably just get emo afterwards.
  11. Why not just buy some? :y: I haven't been able to sort out anything with Alex re: tyres. Sorry birdman. But in better news. Corolla f@$ken passed. Schweet. Now I just need money for rego... :D Not much point for less than two weeks tho.
  12. Yeah its all done. Exhaust etc. Interior is in. It had: leaky front left caliper - still not sure what the problem is. Degreased and looked for leaks several times and seems really intermittent. Think the rubber hose might be a bit too twisted causing the thread to loosen and leak. Back right drum brake didn't have enough braking force under pedal braking but was fine on hand brake. Just bled it for now and a bit of shit/air came out so will try my luck again. and a hole in the floor made by a chisel from whoever removed the sound deadening. So close but f@$ken not done. And I leave for melbs in less than two weeks. Not much point getting it all finished... sad. Here's me looking like a douche the first time I drove it.
  13. 4AGE KE70 failed inspection at the pits. Will try again tomorrow but am not that optimistic...
  14. Drove my car for the first time today to the end of the street and back. Didn't catch fire or fall apart. Seems way to slow though. Will see... Exhaust on monday touch wood.
  15. Andy, do you want to buy my 4AGZE? Or anyone here who may be lurking. I have a bit of rolla shit for sale. I'll copy paste here so its easier. 1. Complete Toyota 4AGZE motor. Comes with inlet inc supercharger and injectors + dizzy. I have a 4AGE alternator and possibly bracket I can supply as well. $700 or will sell just the SC12 supercharger for $300 2. Semi-complete toyota 4AGE from an AE82 Corolla. has most parts. Ask if you want something and we can work out a price. Currently has entire inlet, inc injectors, throttle body TPS. Alt, starter motor, remote thermostat housing, rear head water outlet. + Flywheel and clutch. Also has a complete Engine loom. 3. Gearbox from the above motor. 5 Spd. No idea of condition. $40 ono 4. Parts for converting a KE70 to accept a 4AGE motor. - AE71 Crossmember - $100 ono - AE71 Pedal box - bit sad but most likely useable $30 ono - AE71 Tail shaft - $70 ono 5. Toyota 4K motor and K50 Gearbox. Motor had good compression, gearbox shifted fine. $100 ono for both 6. Complete AW11 MR2 4AGE engine/body loom. Comes with ECU, AFM, Igniter and Distributor. $120 ono 7. Fair few 13" rims to suit 114.3 stud pattern. - Free
  16. my shitbox yellow ke70 is for sale http://www.boostcruising.com/forums/index....howtopic=376813
  17. and just for shits and giggles. 4 in a row. OMG
  18. I r winrar. 4AGZE TPS seems to work rather well... once I found the earth that didn't earth... :y: Might have to try the old one again and see how it goes... I still have a bit of a miss but it hesitates darn all now when you gas it... idles nicely 800~rpm and seems ready to tear balls. Here's a shitty video of me being a wanker and free revving to show y'all. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=pBwuWR33kYw
  19. Haven't checked wire continuity yet, changed TPS for one off the GZE and now it actually revs when you gas it, very littel hesitation so the TPS adjustment isn't quite right, or the 4AGZE tps is slightly different I dunno. Still miss fires and pops and carries on, even out the inlet sometimes so I imagine something is causing the timing to go wack seeing the base timing is pretty much bang on :\ When it cools down in a tick I shall check continuity cause I'm now getting error 7 - TPS - open or short circuit in throttle position circuit. Ugh.
  20. f@$kin' piece of shite! I have good compression, dizzy cap is a bit sad but highly doubt its responsible for anything nasty. Cleaned the rotor, leads and plugs seem all good, bit of oil on plugs from when the motor was apart. TPS seems to be the culprit but f@$ked if I can work out how just yet. Don't think I've got a spare around here so I'd be grateful if I could borrow someones asap. Did diagnostic and it threw up code 11 on two ecus - points to tps. Going to check TPS wiring for now. Not sure how to test the TPS though, or set it for that matter. Maybe its just set really poorly. Removed it and had a look and whatever, now it seems to run better without it. Blergh.
  21. Got the extractors on today... bit dodge but meh, they seal and they're on. Turns out they hit the floorpan though. :P Checked the timing and it was around 30º... not ideal. set it to something lower and it dropped the idle but thats about it... still misses. Played around with the TPS and didn't seem to change a lot so I'm thinking it might be a bit suss... But also don't know if that would cause a miss... Will try very simple things tomorrow like checking compression again, check leads, plugs, timing again make sure its bang on. Then on to fiddling with sensors... Anyone have a TPS I could borrow shortly? I have a spare but its different... Also an injector or two (grey square plug) would be great... think one of mine is a bit suspect as well... Any other ideas would be ace.
  22. used ae71 radiator and just made some mounts. went to indys and guessed a hose that would fit and it was bang on :y: you reckon TPS hey? I've got another one here that I suppose I could test. Would that really cause it to miss though? I'm going to make sure ignition timing is ok first and then maybe a simple test across the injectors to see if I need the resistors I put in. After that, sensor checks... needs more weber....
  23. Radiator is in. Hooray. Appears my headers won't mate to the head nicely? Tis veyr odd, they don't' foul on anything but the flange seems like its bent or something. I'll look closer tomorrow. The car runs like arse... idles but missing at idle, seems ok when you hold it at approx 2 grand(guestimate) and then revs cleanly from there. Also if you try and flat the throttle out straight away it has a big hesitation. Bugger it. :y:
  24. Some more progress, relay block is all finished, fuse block too. Fuel pumps are all working like they should, albeit a bit noisy. Decided to see if I could get some life out of the motor today and connected the loom. Pretty messy! Connected the few other things that need to be connected to the car loom. Cranked it for quite a while without plugs in and oil pressure came up... thank christ! It has spark and seemingyl compression but no running yet  There is fuel pressure in the rail and the injectors aren't stuck so I'm thinking I need to add a resistor pack. Try that tomorrow and see how it goes. Slowly slowly...
  25. Mother f@$kin' update. Todays efforts involved - wiring. still. ha! Not much point putting this here really but Andrew pm'd me asking about wiring so figure might as well share a bit, and nothing else happens here so meh! Engine bay as it is now. Still need to do quite a bit - fuel return, radiator, thermo etc. What I spent today doing... relay block and everything all ready to be terminated. Fuseblock mounted but nothing connected yet. AE82 Loom waiting to be dealt with. Humble work bench f@$ken interior, or lack there of! Just needs seats and wheel + door trims I reckon. darn putting any more back in. For now atleast.
