  1. Was good to see the rollaclub gang again. Once I remembered it was the 8th. Must start using my diary I think.
  2. Hmmm once had a bumper and intercooler heldin with just zip ties. Man they rock. On the 4runner the fuell tank hung down too low once we cleared the floor by spacing it down. So I cut the bottom off and welded on a new peice of sheet metal. (After having the tank cleaned and no I didn't blow up.) Also the intermediate steering shaft was fouling on the upper control arm. I just cut and shut it so it fit. Engineer didn't approve. Funny that.
  3. I have my best moments in the wee hours of the morning.
  4. 5 pages long and still no big HP turbo motor between the uprights????? What's going on?
  5. I'll bring the runner if I am not working on it.
  6. You better believe it. Ford RS200 GroupB will do nicely thank you.
  7. Hmmmm.....wonder which bank to rob today?
  8. Interesting thought there ancullen. Those who do cross-breed generally don't want to settle for second best. Then again some of us do simply because we can.
  9. In the hilux I run an Autotechnica woodgrain wheel I've had since I was 18. The boss kit was designed for an ae82 it has also run on my ae86 and now serves on hiluxes after I drilled two extra holes for the indicator switch off thingies. I had a Momo in the Datsun that I picked up at the importers for $120.
  10. You'll hear nothing bad about Datsun out of my mouth. I went with the datto 12oo sedan last time because as was stated earlier there is plenty of know how. Soooo mnay things can be put into them. Including corolla diffs.
  11. Yeah...you'd better hand me the car and the keys son.
  12. PPfft! Chassis flex.
  13. Number 1 I couldnt afford a 90's model shell and number 2 it has been done. The wires are 18x8 and cost $2500 with tyres from Melbourne.
  14. I like Toyotas because they are unbreakable and there are plenty of body spares available but sometimes the engines I want to use are too expensive and as people have stated don't have the best aftermarket support. Once I have finished with the 4runner I will be building another hilux, however this one will be setup for racing using silvia runing gear....as long as my engineer approves it. CA18det, front suspension and IRS. Plenty of Taiwanese panels available, always plenty of xtra cab or single cab tubs floating around and then there is stacks of nissan stuff available at the importers. Too easy, best of both worlds.
  15. Finished product. Rego'd and rollin' everyday to work.
  16. OOh topless. D.I.Y. Bodylift. Body Off Bare 4wd chassis with one very handy engine crane This is how we work on 2wd chassis' Completed cut 'n' ahut 2wd chassis Custom fuel tank Suspension mini truckin' style
  17. Hmm I haven't written anything off just yet (touch wood) but I thought some of you may find my stock to ROCK (read P.I.M.P.) interesting. Here it is as a $3000 fully optioned, fully functional and practical 4wd. The white circle indicates the height the vehicle would be at when I was finished.
  18. Run on is because your timing is set too high. I used to get it with an ae82 I deliberately fiddled with. In the end I backed off the timing. I would also check your points/gaps as this maybe the reason why it starts sometimes and sometimes not.
  19. Bwahahahahaha
  20. This whole topic is like WTF? Fook are you getting action?!?!
  21. Makes me want to build a 4a screamer in a rwd again.
  22. Go Grover!!! Now you need to slot your strut tops and drill out your crossmember for camber. Muhahaha!
  23. I think we have just worked out why Fook doesn't go out much and practises driving fast a lot. He is actually a NINJA!!! Check out those photos!!!
  24. Ahh man that is classic
  25. Dr000oo000l
