  1. Dare I ask what your xenon conversion kit set you back?
  2. My trueno ran a SerIII hall effect bluebird dizzy with the webers. It had an adaptor collar/spacer made up to hold it in place from memory. Unfortunately I don't have any engine bay shots of the car. I think it may have been recurved too. *edit*: Hunt around on toymods as my old setup was for sale on a few occasions. I sold the car to a guy who called himself. MrSoopra. You maybe able to find photos of it.
  3. The answer to all your questions is pie with a side of beer. Seriously though the 4afe option floated through my head when you raised the question of efi. I mean they should be dirt cheap. Wiring is only scary if you don't have the diagram and the complete harness. Just lay it all out. Take your time and trace all your wires. Then wire them into your exisiting loom. I am about to give it a go by putting a 22re into the wagon O death.
  4. This is a very informative thread. Can we have this put in the FAQ please ig there isn't already this info?
  5. So there are some other old farts on here. Happy Birthday.
  6. I have had plenty of tailshafts made up. You take in the front shaft/uni and rear uni you want to use along with mm distance between the centre of the unis. Then they make a custom shaft from a new tube and weld on your crap. Around $300 at driveline services gets you this plus reco'd unis and balanced shaft.
  7. Just got offered a 22r with bottom end knock and auto out of a hilux for next to nothing. So I am going to take that and throw on some injection. Should make a nice easy driver round town.
  8. I won't add to the spring debate but put some decent inserts in the front. Get a couple of degrees of camber and some extra toe at the rear. AE82's respond well to rear toe. You get excellent turn in. This was recommended to me by one of the corolla nuts at Fulcrum. Swaybars are a preference thing. Depends what rate springs you went with and so forth.
  9. Kermit looks tops. Well done to all.
  10. When I had some big, heavy 18inch 150 spoke wire wheels on the 4runner I managed to snap a stud. To run true wire wheels with knock offs you have to bolt on an adaptor. I didn't have the adaptor bolted tight enough and the weight of the wheel managed to move the adaptor around a bit and took out one of my wheel studs. Dodgjuana.
  11. Alright I have never donated to a forum before because I didn' think I used it enough. I now realise just how much I use this one. Send me the paypal details and I'll throw some cash into the cause.
  12. Yeah I thought about yours dude. Your pedal box is what interests me. :) You may be able to persuade me to part with my 5spd that is here too. :y:
  13. Wow and I thought I brought home some tuff cases. I do like these though. They look tuff as bodydropped to the sills and layin' out.
  14. Argh. Maybe I'll just have to fork out for another motor combo.
  15. Welcome from the land down under. Enjoy your stay and watch out for the drop bears.
  16. Throw a bloody spanner in my works. :y:
  17. Yeah it sounds like a W series 4spd auto is the go.
  18. Nice one Si. This is why Rollaclub is the bible for corollas. Thanks mate.
  19. Thanks guys. I didn't realise just how much time I spent on here especially now that I am a freakin' invalid for 6 weeks.
  20. So is there a bellhousing that will suit K-A that will be easy to source?
  21. Ok. I am seriously considering an auto conversion for wagon of death as I am looking to build it into a cruiser not a bruiser. If I were to run an injected 5k or 7k motor what auto do the k gods suggest? Is there a 4spd to bolt in or am I stuck with old 2/3spds? I don't really want to run to the trouble of converting w-k or w-t either. That wreaks of effort. I am looking for the easiest and simplest late model smooth to drive efi conversion. Craig
  22. I am loving this car now. Makes me go all funny and I am not really a drift man.
  23. Sounds like your mate's setup wasn't sorted right. I had no such problems.
  24. They go well with carbs. I had a std 16v 4ag with twin webers and bluebird serIII dizzy. It went harder than a std 4ag with injection.
  25. Did she say it was big???
