  1. Me again. Lol.... Different kinda issues atm. Having the MAP allows the car to run. Poorly. But, plugging the map back in, it revs up to about 2k, then dies. Replaced with a new MAP. same issue. Really starting to be a bother.
  2. You'll never guess. Wasn't the timing (Though, that was out) Wasn't TPS, MAP. Was the coil. Was too small.... For shits and giggles, we put a bigger one on, and it ran sweet.
  3. Timing is spot on. The belt was not removed. So, it can't be that. edit: So timing could be out. Just reading around then, and it says I have to short some terminals, and then set the timing to 10* BTDC. Problem is, some DOUCHE bag did the conversion in this, and the wiring. So, I don't know what plugs I'm even looking for. Halp.
  4. Timing is dead on 10* BTDC. (Though, this is not putting a wire in the T and E1 plug things cause we can't find it...)
  5. Unplugging the TPS made no difference in idle and reving. Unplugging the MAP electrical plug made a huge difference. It wanted to rev as best it could being flooded with fuel lol. Any ideas?
  6. Hey guys. Few of you might remember the coil igniter problem I was having a while ago. Well thats sorted. ATM, its idles, but barely wants to rev. Coughs, and farts doing it. I unplug the MAP sensor vacuum line and it revs a little better then it does plugged in, but still coughing. Also, unplugging one of the injectors yeilds no difference in idle. It also apears to be getting hot, pretty quickly. Please help. This is driving my brother and I nuts.
  7. She runs. Id accidentally pulled out the earth wire Id be using, and I didn't notice. Thanks to everyone who cared
  8. Stanthorpe. 2hrs south of you.
  9. Also, two wires from the gearbox aren't on. Just, sitting around. Could this be a problem as to why the coil isn't sending power? Edit. Yes, it was because of those two wires sitting around doing nothing. It's been joined together and it starts. Problem is, now it wont rev, and it barely idles. lol.
  10. I wired/stuffed around with the ignition. But, there is not power going to the - on the coil. Just a white with red traced wire going to it, which was there before and some how has power on it. Should - on the coil be grounded? Should that white/red wire be going to positive?
  11. Hey Mongrel! Id be interested to have a look at this thing in person. So would my brother, just to see how you've gotten the S13 K frame and steering rack in.
  12. BOV from factory are for emissions. They also do alot of strange things, RB20DET's stock BOV actually leaks on purpose. All factory turbo cars will have a BOV, cause they will plumb back, just for emissions. Compressor surge is bad, as it stalls the compressor wheel. Does take alot of PSI to kill one though (40+ lbs) So, someone running small boost I.E 7-12psi, wont have a drama with it. Unless, its a cheap chinese turbo. I have seen compressor surge kill a chinese made one, was indeed funny. IMO, factory plumb backs > External gating. The noise is just wank.
