Wow dude that's nice, defiantly going to have a chat on the 19th to suss out a few things with the conversion. cheers, Crowie.

More updates! sanded back the machined edge on my rims that were painted over by previous owner, such a simple thing made the wheels (in my opinion) look 100 times better. Gave the old girl a buff too, not as glossy as I was hoping but it's all a learning curve, first spray job ever, so I am still very pleased with the outcome. Also scored some overrated black origional ke30 door cards off RA28GT (legend) a while back that are going in any day, wow and I nearly forgot to mention I installed s13 ca seats yesterday. enjoy, Crowie.

Spotted Terry (mungi mods) at the JDMST meet last night, wheels are looking good man :y:

I'm generally interested in your car most stock cars are hard to throw around, you might have a few tips or modifications done to your car that I may be interested in for my own project. Sorry if I came across as aggressive, it wasn't my intention, but as I said before we all like to have some fun once in a while, but it's just a good idea to keep that to our selves as it is illegal and some people would rather not read it. Definably come and say hello on the 19th though, I'm always keen to speak to others about cars/mods. Cheers, Crowie

Wow! there is some next level shizz going down up in FNQ. Great work on the engine mounts, once again your work is flawless.
-
Oh hai, though I'd recap the progress so far. Cheers nisrolla I'll check that out sometime this week sounds like a better option.

hope you washed it before you took pictures Carlos :lolcry:

Not you buddy, I was referring to the other fella. I quoted you for the car enthusiast reference, not sure what you call an enthusiast but to me an enthusiast is someone who cares about the car, someone who is passionate about working on them. coming on a forum and attacking people for treating their cars better than me or you is not right. I'm sure if the mentality of me, you or DK above was common that none of these cars would still be around 30 odd years after their production for us to enjoy.
-
You're not a car enthusiast if you buy a car lock the diff and act like you have an extra appendage on your head. Sure we all break the law from time to time but coming on here and telling other members that they have no stones because they don't break the law is stupid. We all like a bit of fun but most people on here have families to look after not just their ego's.

Hey mate, Have a little look at these: http://www.otomoto.com.au/HDSystems/sleevekits.htm If your confident with welding or know anyone with half an idea these are the cheapest option.
-
What do you drive DK? photo's? Mods? Acting like your 10ft tall and bullet proof on a public forum is all well and good but chances are you wont even turn up on the 19th. If you actually do turn up then come and have a chat to us all.

June 19Th All Jap Classic Day Brisbane
Crowie55 replied to Undertaker_is_the_best's topic in QLD / Brisbane
We tried last year and earlier this year timbo, complete fail on our part (GC crew) as we rocked up mega late to the meeting point. It's near impossible to get people to meet at a certain time on here and even harder to get numbers that make an effort. Meet at the show whenever suits you, I'm sure there will be a number of RC members there for the whole day :y: Cheers, Crowie -
WMMH: Painted my car today one day ahead of time, which leaves plenty of time for beer and assembly/clean tomorrow :y:
-
This. WMMH: listing to music while I go for a spirited drive through the hills, Surfing, chilling out and having a few brews with some mates, and of course women.
-
yea bloody annoying, I'll got to Clark rubber tomorrow and grab a sheet and cut out a thicker seal hopefully that helps. As for the vents I'll call around next week and suss out prices ect.

Hey ladies and gents, Finally got around to modifying the ke30 rear bar brackets to fit tight to the body. Fits nice and should look good. Excuse my poor welding skills as it's the first time I've attempted :lolcry: Body work was completed Monday, nearly had a heart attack when the hail report came through but lucky for me it didn't drop in our area. Car is 100% in primer and is all pulled apart and masked up in a garage ready for hi-fill tomorrow! Very excited. Updates will be more regular as money is starting to roll in. Looking at getting a mountain of work completed on the car before the all Japanese day at banyo on the 19th of June. Just a shout out to all ke36 and ke38 wagon and pano owners, my rear vents on the side of the car are falling apart, I'm looking at getting some made up from alloy or steel and chrome/powder coate them so post in here if you are interested as I know these are hard items to find. Cheers, Crowie.

Fan boy tax on ae86dc. That site stinks of Dutch rudder circle jerking ego stroking gayness. :abuse:

"can't pay rent and have no petrol and food until pay day next thursday. Only have 2 dollars to my name please help rollaclub" take $2 go to pokies ??? profit.
-
You guys all better be at the all jap day. I've got a crew of at least 5 rolla's coming up from the GC. I know the sunny coast boys are making an effort too so all you Brisbane lady's and gents better make an effort as most of you are less than 20 mins away!

ok either of these two problem then: 1. too much power, chassis twisting and lurching your car to one side, permanently bent your chassis rail from to much awesome 4k power so it veers to the left.OR 2. Wheel alignment. Personally number one seems like the most probable cause to me :laff: :laff:

Never a truer word spoken. I haven't moved out of home but as soon as I got a job everything I wanted I had to pay for everything myself. Cars, rego, insurance, board, and chip in for water and electricity. I was going great having the time of my life. Lost my job for a few months around my 18th, had money saved from working hard. blew it all in a month or two on getting wasted for no point at all. I ran out and had nothing, Car was broken down, mum and dad weren't in a position to help. So I got up off my ass and got a job. Not a good one but something that paid the bills. Learnt some hard lessons along the way (mate crashed car and bailed, people owed me money and bailed, bought a falcon ect) But I'm glad everything that happened; happened. It's made me the person I am today, I'm glad my parents have bough me up to pay my own way and learn from my mistakes because it's a @&%#ing good feeling being on top of your life after you were so far down. Knowing that you were the reason things changed. /rant/life story. toasticlesae82 - Have fun with it dude, just remember to look after yourself because no one is going to be there to hold your hand. except maybe rollaclub

Bump steer dude! so it only happened when you went over a bump? when you put lowered springs in the lower control arm is comes up from its original position to meet the bottom of the shortened strut. Long story short when you hit a bump the car will tend to want to steer itself wherever it chooses. Bump steer reducers can be purchased to control this. They are a metal spacer you place between the lower control arm and bottom of the strut(where you bolted up the 2 big 19mm bolts) They don't affect the ride height as they are below the stub axle, they push the lower control arm down to the stock or close to stock level so it stops the bump steer you are feeling. Hope this helps dude :y: Cheers, Crowie
-
I'm so confused that it fixed the alignment that way  Have taken struts out many times lowered and replaced them and haven't noticed the problem you described. I'm certain they have a pcd. Wouldn't the centre rubber locator thing not mount properly in the strut tower if the bolts had to go back exactly the same as before??

Top hats on ke3x and ke5x series don't need to go back into the exact hole it was unbolted from (unlike ke7x. The top has 3 holes exatly the same length away from the centre point. Think of it as a rim but just with three bolts. I'm religious with wheel alignments, any time I change the front suspension set up I go straight down and get a wheel alignment just to be safe.
