  1. Pulled most of the vaccume lines off today and chucked the ones we didnt need. Did the timing back to 8degrees and mate played around with some thing that goes into the side of the carby thing he disconnected it or something can't remember the name of it. Drove it around for a bit running sweet then died in the ass again. Hopefully check it out tomorrow again. WIll post up when i work it out, I'm guessing the next thing will be looking into the jets next
  2. Adjusted carby, did timing, checked points. Still doing it, one second you runs sweet then it just starts dieing. Where thinking it could be the carby? If theres any head damage or something could it cause it? theres no oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil.
  3. Hey Guys, I have a issue with my 4k ke70 I'm trying to get sorted asap as i need my car for work. All of a sudden without any reason Ill start the car and it will drive and idle fine, then all of a sudden ill pull up at the lights the second i let the car go back to idle rpm it just dies on me it fires straight back up and runs rough for a while, then ill pull up at the next set of lights and it will be running fine or with a slight miss or it will continually die on me for a while. Ill shut the car off either it will fire up and run and idle no dramas or it will run like crap and start stalling on idle, if i keep the revs up the car doesnt die only on idle but its random when it starts playing up but its usally on 1-2km max. If the car does start up all ok it will either do it first corner i slow down at or the 5th its totally random. I have no idea whats causing it. I had the bonnet popped today just standing there looking at it talking to my mate about ideas and it was running great at the time on idle then it just started to get a little rough all of a sudden and slowley got a bit worse until it was nearly stalling, turned it off fired it back up and ran good again, got down the road and stalled 3rd corner. In the last 3000km its had new leads,plugs,rotor button,dissy cap,and points. Its getting fuel in the fuel filter, got fresh fuel, swapped the coil, checked all the electrical connections in the bay, adjusted the idle. I'm thinking fuel pump or carby? Any help is appreciated sorry for the description been a long day can't think straight haha

  5. Nah I'm aware how to get the axles out. I havent messed around with diffs before besides swapping axels. Last time i glanced in when i did my diff oil, theres 1 u bolt either side, i figure you undo those either side and it will come out the inspection hatch, or are they a front loader? My mate just told me then that they werent pressed in pre 90's, so it souds like i will just be as easy to swap the center, should have mentioned in the first place that i was also told theres a chance they could have been pressed in, thats why i was going to swap the entire diff. cheers.
  6. Hey guys, My diff has reached the end of its life, its a borg warner, I'm unsure if u can pull the center out the inspection hatch and bolt a new one in or do you basically need to replace the entire diff. cheers

  8. Yeah i was in shock when he told me he was defecting me for that, i didnt bother saying anything or i would have told him where to go. Also got defected for having no left mirror, even though as far as I'm aware some come out factory without the mirror. But yeah all my lights are working. Will replace them all just incase. Just want to try this relay too. cheers
  9. Alright guys, My left indicator goes quick, but my right go normal. I ended up getting defected for my indicator going too fast :dance: Its dark when i get home from work and i don't have enough time to mess around with the car, i had a quick look under dash and in the passanger kick pannel for the flasher relay. I don't think its the globes as its been like this for 5months and the bulbs havent blown yet, will replace them tho. So Yeah if you have any ideas let me know what it could be and where the flasher relay is . ta

    Some of you might know that corollas are getting more targeted these days. Got defected just then, was saying he sees alot of them with sr20's etc these days and knows what there used for. So yeah heads up.

  12. sorry lukeae71, don't agree with what your saying mate. the red one is going to track as scott said and it had damage to the front bumper anyway. managed to pick it up for 300 can't expect to much body wise, and its going to track so why not strip it? His only had it a week with no money so give it a chance before you call it ghetto. If you drive cars that are modifed, you always run the risk of being pulled over. anyway, thats just my thoughts. cheers.
