this ke I don't really want to do anything to.. to nice to modify, would go 5k but can only legally go to 4k. and I'm not building it for performance, but if I could go up hills it would be a bonus. is there any way of getting the standard front lower without massive mods? got quoted 600 to reset the front leafs which seems a little excessive.

yeah, I'm used to it already... Although I do feel bad driving her every day sun, rain, hail... what ever. May get a standard 4k to wack in it so i can keep the original K.. Its still healhy as fk so it may be worth keeping it that way... just wish there was an easy way of lowering it, would use blocks in rear seeing I'm not building a race car, but the front is just a pain in the ass. Thats the only objection I have against it. easiest thing is to keep it standard, and keep playing with the other one.

I have owned this for a while now, I'm the second owner. I bought it of the original owner which was a sweet old lady that kept my number for somewhere around the 10 year mark. Car has no real rust in it at all, only very minor surface rust on the front of the car which look like they were caused by stone chips. It has a dent on the drivers front guard, and the vinyl is average. But for a one owner 67 car, I'm pretty happy.. WIll not be doing anything to this. (seems this plan didnt last) All I have done is add the Venetians and the 14"s. Getting my spare interior retrimmed to suit and will get the dent fixed. She looks beautifull though. newer pictures.

i could do that, but the standard has two hoses per side (off the shelf ke20 items) I'm wondering if anyone knows of any one piece from different model?

motor is mounted, just need to get pretty much electrical except ECU (loom/map sensor/coil/ignitor) ohh and another throttle body and TPS, as the one n it is not from a 4age. and here is my daily, photo was taken from a recent street machine cruise.. I definitely had the smallest slowest car :) -
can anyone confirm if all ke series front brake hoses are the same? need some new hose for some ke20 brakes on my ke10, but wondering iff all KE's use the same or interchangeable parts. Cheers

cheers, yeah i know it can't be both. But it was running an ac delco or something ecu before with a 4k dizzy and an afm.. but I'm not sure if my loom is afm or map.. think i may be best off buying another loom and knowing what its from and what it is...

from memory no, will have to confirm, but the plug from dizzy looks a lot bigger.. So you seem to think that they should still work?? The motor originally had a different dizzy i think 4k in it so they could run a different ECU.. unsure why, but I'm thinking of trying to engineer so i need standard ecu.. But never realized that there were different variations in all the little things. surely it can't be hard to sort out TPS and Dizzy and MAP or AFM(wish i knew what loom was for)... will have another play tonight and see what i can figure out.

Hmm, are there different TPS? I'm pretty sure the one on it has 3 pins but the plug has 4 from memory? I will have to check and confirm tonight.. Thanks for all the help guys, hopefully this will be the majority of it.. One last question, looking at the connectors I have and where they go, I'm pretty sure that my dizzy has a different connector compared to the loom.. Dizzy is marked as a 4a-geu are there different dizzys? can the plug be changed to suit? or do i need another dizzy?

cheers for that, the sixth picture is actually a large plug which i assumed would have been for the TPS (seeing i can't find the plug) but it is too large for that? so I'm a little confused

Can anyone tell me where these plugs/wires belong on a 4age? I believe its an AE82 loom but could be wrong? Also, the motor is a 4A-GEU and looks like the Dizzy uses a different plug compared to the loom plug? Can these be matched to each other or are they not compatible? most wiring was simple but just a few things and I'm hoping you guys can help without me un wrapping all the loom.. Things that are not connected are MAP/AFM? Not sure what the loom is for? Dizzy TPS Coil/Ignitor TVIS (I think) Any help would be great.. Thanks in advance.

cheers, i guess they would be interchangeable anyways so.. when I eventually get it wired ill just see which works better. Should be fun wiring the ecu, at least my aftermarket ecu was labeled..

Hey, I'm building my car slowly, and i was going to use aftermarket ECU but I'm considering engineering and a standard ECU is required unless the engineer can prove it is not fit to purpose. I'm just a bit confused as to which way to go. I have 3 ECU's/2 looms and a motor currently running AFM. My issue with running the current ECU is it is not a factory ECU.. Well i don't believe it is. It looks very different to what the 4age ones are and it may be from another car because it also is running a 4k style dizzy.. I have no idea what my loom is from? and i don't know if it will matter? And I have identified one ECU to be from an AE82 with part number 89661-12080 (175700-560 12v) But the other I can not find any information? I found a site saying it was from a 4age corolla but that is all? don't know if its AFM/MAP bigport or small port part number is 89661-12030 (17500-0313) Can anyone tell me what this ECU is for? And also how hard it is to make it run MAP if I have a MAP loom and ECU? Is it just plugging the map sensor in and away I go? or is it more difficult? Cheers.

I have owned this car twice, this is the second time I have attempted to build it for a 4age.. First owned the car somewhere around 10 years ago.. Paid $700 for what was a decent car, as time went on I purchased an import corona turbo and got sick of the corolla. After sitting in the weather for a few years I decided to fit a 4age in it... After fitting the motor, getting extractors and a bunch of work done I got desperate and needed a wagon.. So I sold it for $1000 with brand new custom 4age extractors, modified radiator, recond (unused head), recond twin solex and a brand new redline manifold and a t50.. Sadly I lost an ASS load of cash car was stripped for the driveline and sold on.., many years passed and I somehow ended up with it again.. Looking very sad, every part that could be taken off has been apart from the doors. I got the car back as a shell with box's of parts. funny how life works, it is even still under my name I'm in no hurry to build the car, I have changed my mind a heap of times with what I want to do with it. But now I have decided again to go 4AGE, seeing I have a crappy ke10 with a running 4age.. so it will just be a bit of a swap and tidy up. picture from back in the day... green when I purchased it... Matte black when I got bored on the weekend :) how I got her back. Now new motor/shell it come from eventually when I do some more work i will update this, but I'm not aiming on it being perfect.. or a show car.. Just a neat/fun car... no need to be the fastest on the street.. if i can get around 100hp reliable i will be happy..

yeah mate, cheers for that.. its bolted to a 4age.. just never knew that t50's come out cable clutch.. is there any real disadvantage to having cable not hydro? prefer cable seeing its simple. Is it only pedal feel that is the difference between cable and hydro?

Can anyone confirm if a t50 came out standard with cable clutch? I thought they were all hydro. I think I have one because it doesn't look like a k box.. just curious if its standard or a custom jobbie.

Cheers, I'm prety sure it was willow green.. have a feeling when i first bought it it had a sticker in the enginebay that looked like a paint sticker with willow on it.. but its so long ago I'm not sure if it was this car or another one.. anyone know willow green paint code? is s 521 Greenish Yellow a different colour or just a different name?

I'm considering painting my corolla back to its original colour.. Can anyone confirm what colour this is... SHITTY picture because its old of a photo.. I have a feeling its willow green, but unsure. Does anyone have the paint code for it if it is? it def was green, even if the photo doesnt show it.

Looking at specs for these motors I noticed 3 k has more power by a bees Dick.. is this true? Looking to pull out my UN-molested k from my grandma ke10 and fit another motor in it. So I can keep the original motor to restore the 10 down the track.. Are there any advantages or disadvantages to either motor? Not looking to build it to be fast. But to keep up with traffic would be good.. plus I have efi and an ecu sitting here so ill probably inject it for shits and giggles.. if anyone is giving away a decent running 3 or 4k ill be happy to accept :) also is 3k unleaded?
