Very old thread and car... but just wondering if anyone happened to save the pictures of the engine bay? Really wish the pictures still worked.. wanna see how that turbo fit in..

Just wondering if anyone knows what injectors will fit the 7k efi manifold.. looking for something around 440-500cc for boosted 5k.. want to start wiring ecu but need decent injectors so I can get the right plugs. Been looking for 7mgte injectors, but was wondering if there were others to broaden my search.. Cheers

Cheers.. seems there is no bolts in Australia.. well there are 2.. so I'll be looking into studs.. if anyone can point me in the right direction

Hey, About to start building my 5k with 4k head.. but need head bolts seeing I can't get my hands on studs.. any one got an idea if I would have to buy 5k or 4k bolts? Or are they the same length?

Cool.. so probably best to stick with the ta box.. I bought both so I can have a look.. really don't want to beat the tunnel.. so after all this I'll probably end up putting a k50 in, and needing to sell the boxes... Cheers

I have the option of 2 boxes... Would one box fit better than the other? They have different shifter spots? Guess one is ae and the other must be Celica or something? Is one better than the other? All advice would help.. Going on k series in ke10 and prefer not to bash tunnel

Build is going slow... Don't h3 a heap of cash to throw at it at once so it's bits and pieces every now and then.. trying to sort fuel system out now... Going to put a new hard line in for feed but not sure what size? I have read to use 8mm but the standard line seems to be 8mm... So I'm guessing I'll go next size up...

Don't know if anyone can help, but I'm sure I read somewhere that by using an engine mount from a different ke will upright the k in a ke10 a little... Wondering if anyone knows if this is true.. or the combination to do so? Just looking for a little more room for turbo... And don't want it too upright or else shifter will be on too much of an angle.. cheers

Cheers.. I am leaning towards the o , but have not heard of anyone running them with boost.... Have always heard good things about hypatec d dish though..

Just wondering if anyone has experience with both hypatec pistons "d and O" dish.. would one be any stronger than the other? Was planning on using d dish in my boosted build... But now considering using o because the c/r may be too low to start off with even for a boosted motor. Basically just wondering if the o dish would be as strong as the d dish??? 5k block 4k head combo...

Would it be safe to assume that the 7k efi would sit in a similar position as the carbo manifold? if so that looks like there should be enough room still would have loved to seen madrollas setup

yeah, had a look, couldn't see anything clear... was hoping someone may have taken some happy snaps at some stage.... God knows how you fit a t25/28 on the same side..

Hey, Just wondering if anyone has some decent pictures of madrollas old ke10's engine bay or engine Planning on upgrading my carby turbo to efi turbo and don't want to run turbo on other side of engine bay, but want to see how it fits on the same side.. Any pictures of Ke10's setup like this would be appreciated, can't seem to find pictures anywhere.. don't want to chop car or run extra piping if not needed..

Don't think this carby works like that... Unfortunately.. Will keep playing with it... Still driveable but just annoying

Honestly.. god knows :) seems to run fine, its just the idle.. So unsure if its an adjustment somewhere? Really can't wait for efi boost... it this little setup goes as well as it does I can't wait for a few more cc's, efi and more boost

so its back on the road running draw through setup for now, until I build 5K and get everything I need for EFI. However it idles at around 2k.. Does anyone know anything about zenith Stromberg 175 CD things? I have read that they have a temperature compensator and a bypass valve which can cause similar issues to this, anyone know of an easy way to test this? I don't believe there are any VAC leaks, so I'm thinking its more something in carby... Cheers.

Building a 5k slowly but wondering where to find torque settings and bearing clearances etc? Are there any books out there or websites? Or anyone got these they would be happy to share with me. Will be boosted but I'm assuming this should not matter. Thanks in advance

out of curiosity you can't get suitable pistons and rings can you? if so could you post to Adelaide and how many dollars would we be talking?

well precision don't do the chrome rings in 060 so I guess I'm going cast (can't afford to go all out).. wonder how long cast will last for street use..

Ouch . Little out of my budget... May just have to stock up on cast rings... Spewing! Out of curiosity could I use the cast rings and try to source a chrome top ring? Would that help?

Any info you get would be greatly appreciated, I want to buy pistons, but if I can't get chrome rings I may have to find something else, maybe go 4age pistons (if they work) and compression ratio doesnt go too high..
