i'd be pointing towards the Rocker cover leaking.....mine was leaking as well and we couldnt get it tight enough.... could be just an old rocker cover gasket....just grab a new one if thats the case. if the car has be overheating or been running rough on idle....thats a blown headgasket.

try not to use lubricant....it will make the belt slip more... soap or candle wax, is what my dad normally uses. also brake cleaner (bendix brand i normally use) it will take the shit off the belt and pulley and make it clean again.

hang on a tic and i'll look it up edit: 4K Torque settings. Cylinder Head Bolts: 66 Nm Rocker Shaft Pedestal Bolts: 24 Nm straight out of the gregories...

which "k" head are we talking about here.... 4K head on a 3K block will lower compression....best to keep the 3K head on it and port it out....

thats cool mate.....wish you luck with the engine conversion... i have just been given one of these :).....i'm very stoked.....dunno what i'll be doing with it yet.....but i'll have something planned for sure.
