Firstly, WE are not here to give you detailed instructions on how to supercharge your 4K. However i will list the main points just so you can get a little idea of whats involved....then you should go and research BLOW THROUGH SUPERCHARGER SETUPS! 1.Pull 4K apart. Rebuild with better pistons, rings. Anything stronger than orginal parts and you're doing good.(you'll have to do this if you want your engine to last more than a year) 2. Find a Diff and gearbox setup that will be strong enough to take around 100 - 200hp....(not that you'll have more than 200hp) 3. Aquire Supercharger. (a toyota one is usually a good start). 4. Aquire Blow through carby or EFI setup 5. Make up custom brackets to attach to engine 6. Fit it up. Sound simple?......i don't think so. now go and do some research......we aint gunna do it for you.

i was wondering how you hooked up the ignition?.....i've thought about it a bit and could do it my way.....just wondering how you did it. also...do you use the stock fuel pump or an eletric one on the stand somewhere?

This month and next, Earth is catching up with Mars in an encounter that will culminate in the closest approach between the two planets in recorded history. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287. Due to the way Jupiter's gravity tugs on Mars and perturbs its orbit, astronomers can only be certain that Mars has not come this close to Earth in the last 5,000 years, but it may be as long as 60,000 years before it happens again. The encounter will culminate on August 27th when Mars comes to within 34,649,589 miles of Earth and will be (next to the moon) the brightest object in the night sky. It will attain a magnitude of -2.9 and will appear 25.11 arc seconds wide. By August 27, Mars will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. Mars will be easy to spot. At the beginning of August it will rise in the east at 10 p.m. and reach its azimuth at about 3 a.m. by the end of August when the two planets are closest, Mars will rise at nightfall and reach its highest point in the sky at 12:30 a.m. That's pretty convenient to see something that no human being has seen in recorded history. i'm in the process of attaching a SC14 supercharger to my 5K however i'm doing it properly and getting the diff and gearbox sorted first so i wont break much when i do eventually get it on there....:D

I did a little sketch of what i want mine to look like....i'm thinking of raising it off the ground about 60cm. Mainly for ease of working on the engine if there is problems with it. The clubs one would have to be made on the ground if it were to go into a tralier. I'm going to try and start on mine this weekend....i'll let you guys know how i go....btw my dads a carpenter =).....so he will probably have some good ideas up his sleeve too. PS. I have a running 5K (running 6 months ago when it was taken out) out the back that we can put straight onto the stand :D also....thinking of just welding some pipe onto the some standard engine pipes...then just adding a muffler i also have out the back.....so its not the full length of the exhaust system....probably go with: Exhaust manifold -> Engine pipes -> 1 foot of pipe -> muffler.

a dimmer wire is the wire that controls the display on the front of the headunit....so you hook it to your dash lights, when it gets power the display on the front dims because you have your lights on. you may have mistaken this wire for something else.....not sure. its better for night driving, not having a big bright light shining in your face all the time is good.

Does your headunit have a dimmer wire and if so where did you connect it too...that could also be your problem

You'll be pleased to know that Nick and I were having a conversation about this tonight....we've decided to make one....if not 2 (it looks fairly simple) from the spare parts in our sheds...:D With all the stuff i have laying around (gauges, coil packs, timber, metal and of course engines) i'm sure we could knock one up in no time. You've inspired me mate....you should be proud..... PS. One will be for the use of the club, and the other might be my own personal one. =)
