i must say it was amusing watching you get in and out of my car through the window.... the exhaust is now hooked back up unfornately....so i prolly can't get anymore sound clips..:y: She seems to be a little more responsive, its gaining power everytime i drive it....its still running WAYYY too rich. Now i just gotta wait for the exhaust to carbon up again =) apparently gases go faster then. on the downside i think i have a rooted front wheel bearing....at 100kph the car has a very slight vibration through it which wasnt there 5 weeks ago....sounds like its coming from the front drivers side wheel. Rob, if you are home sometime during this week send me a pm and i'll give you a drive, i need to know if i can benifit from an electric fuel pump or not....:wub:

For those of you that don't know.....i've had some more headwork done to my 3K bigport...its been off the car for 5 weeks now and we just got it back on tonight.... we've also put on different extractors so they don't match up to my 2 inch exhaust atm, so technically its dumping straight out the extractors....now i have a camera phone that can take video...its pretty shit...but it does the job...and now, heres a treat for you all.. :y: (you'll need divx to open the file, right click and save as) No exhaust

sounds like you need to adjust your steering box.... how loose is it? how much do you have to turn the wheel to get any steering.

that first picture looks TOUGH!!!! as for the second......bleh.

i think if you bought them off the shelf they would be alot dearer in price, as for the custom ones, i think i just took along an old set for him to copy off....he'd probably only need to know what the car is anyway.

i think most our cars would get to around 210kph then go......*BANG!*.....unless you have some stupid gear ratios... ;)

mikeys toy: i have one out the back, when my car goes back on the road i'll be getting it onto a dyno to work out what advance it needs at what rpm so that my auto lecky can recurve the elec. dizzy......until then my points one works fine. Jamie: Queensland Ignition Leads would probably have been the place you guys went to...i got my 9mm leads made up there and it cost me $50, also made on site. btw 9mm and 10mm leads don't make much difference because the wire inside them is the same, its just theres more insulation over the 10mm ones....which makes them look bigger.

and for interests sake....mine is still running the standard dizzy (welded up weights) and a static advance of about 32 degrees ;)

yeah the some of the 5Ks had the reduction starter on them. comes with the heat sheild and all....havent had any troubles with mine since i put one of these on.....although mine sounds like a truck when it starts up... ;) you'll probably find the battery wire going to the starter motor will be very close to the block....just chuck something that will insulate it well and its all go. ps. i now have a reconditioned starter motor out the back with a rooted solenoid because of my 5k....lol

correction.....that would probably be just "on" as the "ne" would have to be the front of the car....hehehehe

hey hey! Saturday i decided to start on trying to make one of these.....with a bit of dads help we found a nice long length of metal that was just right.....i found out some measurements that i needed and then marked it all out and cut it all to size :P Now to get everything right i decided to get one of the engine blocks from out the back, an old gearbox and set it up on the stand to see if the exhaust would fit and also to see where the gearbox mount had to be. Welded the gearbox mount on and thats about as far as i got....its looking good so far.
