  1. The slapper bar is a thicker leaf that sits on the bottom of the leaf pack...basically so you can carry a little bit more weight, and it also sometimes helps with axle tramp. Thanks to FAQ To fit 15's you shouldnt have to flare the guards....i've fitted at least 2 sets of 15's on my car, and havent done anything except tighten the wheel nuts. It also helps if you have the right offset.
  2. that vid has a reputation at my house....i love when he comes up above the treeline and hes driving into the sun....."ahhh shit can't see.....*cue driving with one hand, while the other shields his face* ahhh thats better"
  3. Umm, they left the design the same for the KE30/55 probably because it worked for what they wanted it for......i was actually refferring to the KE10/11/15 engine bays, which is where the k engine started out.
  4. I've seen plenty of pushrod crossflow motors..... I'm guessing reason the K series arent, is because toyota had trouble fitting the engines into the KE10/11/15 series of shells.....which is also why they lean to one side......imagine trying to also fit an intake on one side and an exhaust on the other of a ridiculously small engine bay. There has been talk of a twincam head for the 3K, but i've never personally seen one. as for crossflow.....i doubt you could modify the engine enough to even think of a crossflow head.
  5. I'd recommend Redcliffe Springs and Suspension, they did mine about a year ago and they are still a nice ride. I think i had wagon springs under mine already....and i'm pretty sure the only difference is the slapper bar. (don't quote me on that)
  6. just for the first post... my name is Simon and it was made in the 10th month 1979 cheers
  7. Yup KE55 it is.... Vents, tail lights....not a coupe (ke35 is)
  8. 195/50/15 They came on the older supras and soarers....then you had the ma61 wheels, same kinda design and offset.
  9. Supra wheels look great and fit without spacers. EG:
  10. nah i'm bringing the 55' to represent the curvy cars :P
  11. ummm, you can also blow the exhaust manifold off the block if its a big enough bang.... my suggestion is not to do it at all unless its a backyard dunger. You can do too much damage if you do it wrong.
  12. Or a 9 pound sledge hammer.
  13. Its not a KE50 one....another vote for celica. :P
  14. meh, the extra fuel will just leak out the breather on the tank.....so in a way hes not really getting any extra fuel in there...
  15. yup....certainly will.
  16. And no matter who tells you, the SC14 is off the 1GGZE.....no doubt about it....
  17. So am i right in saying that he actually tried to drive off after hitting you?.... if so.....what a f@$kwit....and if i see that anywhere up here, i will personally hunt the person down and make sure they realise what they have done.... f@$k mate if you have his details, take him to the cleaners.....low life scum.
  18. It's not a 4K......but its a Hot 5K....i took this not long ago.....the first 10sec is after i'd just started it, the last part is after it had warmed up. Exhaust_Note.wmv
  19. you may just need to readjust it.....see if that works, if not....time to find a replacement switch....
  20. bwahahahahaha.....i could probably build about 3 of them.....
  21. nope.....the other side of the shed is full of about 6-7 3k - 4k engines, and various corolla gearboxes....
  22. KE55E 1979 920691
  23. i have more....its just that i can't be f@$ked looking through shit....i have no idea whats there....this photo is about 1.5 years old.....theres even more stuff in there now.
  24. no probs mate.....i'll just have to remember to look down at the speedo before i change gears...i doubt i'll get to 60ks before i have to change....i can almost garantee it..
