I can see the point of them, but i'd probably never get one for my car....just basically because our cheapest plate in Qld will still cost you at least $399
Uprighting a K engine apparently increases horsepower.
Warwick, i'd probably PM the trd brothers about it if you want detailed info.
TRD and TRD_KE70 are the ones you want to contact.
They may work from a L28 to a 3K.....doesnt mean the 3k will actually run alright.
SU's need tuning and the right needles, not to mention the right size to get them to run right.....saying you can pull them off a 2.8L and put them onto a 1.2L is utter bullshit.
Like the guys have already said.....do some research first. Think before you create a new topic......filling the forum up with crap aint helping anyone.
Yeah the GT40 coil will fry the dizzy....
"Try" and get your hands on a Denso coil, these have a longer snout on the bit where the coil wire plugs in....they are a little bigger too....you may find one in the wreckers.
Lol.....Purple Camaro RC CAR!.
Cooling the engine down after a run is important to stop it ceasing and other nasty things....and that actually means stopping the engine.
My RC car actually has more speed and accleration than a petrol one of the same sort....although i do have a $500 speed controller and motor in it.
Didnt actually see it, but heard it.....lol
final figures i think it made 1003hp......
Just remember if you are buying a petrol one:
A: You have to let it cool down after a run. (if thrashing it)
B: You still have to fill it up with fuel - Fuel = $$$
C: You will most likely break shit.... stuff breaking = $$$
Electric is more cost effective in my opinion.....its only really the intial outlay for the car and some equipment....after that theres not really much to maintain. Plus you get the added bonus of not having to wait for batterys if you have at least 2
*if you havent already guessed.....i was the guy with the Purple Camaro*
:)
The "mx5" is actually a Mazda RX7.....a nice one at that. Even though he had the tvs in the headlights, they are removable......still stupid though.
From memory i think it put out over 350hp on the dyno.
Hey jip.....did you check out the RC drifting at all?
They are also a bunch of *insert word here*
I personally don't like the way you have to sign up.....so i didnt....and i never want to. It's invasion of privacy and i strongly disagree with it.
ummm, shit dude.....make it say 5:30 - 5:45 and i'll be there.....that gives me at least SOME time to get home in peak hour... don't count on going over the gateway though.....i'll be listening to the reports on the radio to see whats the best route to take.
As for the Friday night indy stuff..... as per a site i found some info on:- a special $15 Friday night ticket will be available at the track box offices after 5pm on the day......i'm SO up for that.
Check the Ballast Resistor, its normally located near the coil....it's a little white box with 2 connectors coming out of it. Grab a new one from a auto shop and put it on....hopefully thats all it is
ummm, they are actually starting to break up and fall apart... :y: i'm afraid to wash them, i would probably end up with 2 peices...lol
If you've got the ram tubes, how much you want for them?.....i'll send you a pm.
