There is different speedo drives....for different speedo's.....i had an issue with my 5 speed when i put my last k50 in my car. If you do put the wrong one in, it will only be out about 10k until you find the right one. It's a pretty easy swap.....as the 4K and 5K are basically the same size engine. Just make sure to undo all the earth straps on the engine.....i always seem to miss one. :P

don't ever park your car in front of a firehydrant, and then refuse to move it when the firies want to use said fire hydrant. I've heard a few stories from a Queensland fire fighter involving ingorant people and parked cars.....lets just say it would have cost them less to move the car.

7mm out of a 4k bore.....i've heard of some 4k's going out to 160 thou over......but i'm pretty sure they were a jap commerical engine. taking 3.5mm off each side of the bore is going to greatly hamper the running of said engine i would think.

Just about any Corolla Choke cable will have one secured to the end of it somehow. Failing that, i'd be asking at a mower shop.

Just about anything from europe is like that.....i needed some parts for my RC car, and europe is the only place i can get them from....6GBP for the part 23GBP for postage......i was furious. Then i found a place that doesnt wanna rip people off and got postage for around 4GBP. Thank god for that.

Best bet is to keep it simple....Corolla engines need a certain amount of backpressure to produce max power.....by adding another pipe to the rear of the car you could be effectively reducing the amount of backpressure at the manifold (depending on pipe diametre of course)....best bet is to run a single pipe diametre of around 1"3/4 or 2"....straight to a sports muffler. The manifold you have used to run like a 4 - 2 -1 extractor setup (tri Y) where the manifold comes into 2 pipes, the pipes were then taken down to just a little past the passenger footwell and then joined into one pipe.

From what i've heard they are rare in Aus. In NZ you can find them pretty easily though.....

NEED MORE TALENT CAPTAIN!..... My uncle decided he had to fix his motorbike Petrol tank one day....(not sure what was wrong with it, but involved welding).....he can now fit a few extra litres in the tank. You can guess what happened. As for your situation cameron.....go nice and slow.....and have a fire extinguisher handy... :lolcry:
