  1. Rob, you have a keen eye.....not sure myself because it does have a shadow. Methinks its real. I have a much better bottle opener though and i have it with me the whole time.....Rob witnessed me using it yesterday and much laughing insued. :D
  2. I wouldnt be skipping the balancing myself....most engine wear would come from out of balance components, and a 20year old engine may have some parts that need doing. The head work price seems cheap, but then again theres no porting in that either.
  3. Sounds like teddy has a bout of the Passion Fingers. As they say, keep on pluggin 8/
  4. From the Rollaclub rules - 5.12.0 For Sale, WTB, EOI etc threads are to be ONLY posted in the For Sale area. Please don't post them in the Region forums. Cheers. Xany
  5. Or Jaycar stuff, if you have it down there.....big on quality, not so big on price. Alpine is fine too. :sob:
  6. Original 5K pushrods for Hydro lifters are 157mm long. Just measured one then as i happened to have one sitting on my desk....lol
  7. Unfortunately, by order of my brother i now cannot make it to this event. It's my sister-in-laws birthday party on the same day/night. i'll make it to one eventually.....
  8. most likely the sender unit in the tank....could also be the gauge. The sender units can be worn out and then wont read properly or not at all.
  9. ^^^^^^^ Aggreed. I used to wash the my old bosses black V8 gold edition Landcruiser.......we had a mostly concrete/dirt driveway into work (about 200m long). So after i had washed it and made it look all nice, he would then drive it out the driveway.....much to my disgust cause the car would look like it had been entered into a rally.
  10. Mmmmmmm Shiny. :jamie:
  11. There used to be this site www.idiotdriver.com.au but i think it was too much money for the owner to run and therefore got taken down.
  12. How many litres of oil did you put in? At best a K engine should only take around 3.2 Litres to fill..... K engines are like energizers, they keep going and going......i wouldnt worry about it until it starts doing funny stuff. I've run my 5K on low oil for a bit before i topped it up, that was at least 2 years ago...its still going strong to this day.
  13. Where are you looking into the engine?......the oil cap? If so, you shouldnt be able to see any oil except for the residue on the rockers. Engines are only meant to carry oil in the sump....then the oil pump does the rest when the engine is running.
  14. You can buy them from any autobarn in brisbane....most of them have them in stock..
  15. Hey nick, wanna come?... :jamie: we apparently have 1 spot left just for you :hmm:
  16. It's an Australian delivered T50 box.....most likely out of an AE86. What do i win?
  17. Bwahahaha.....the paddle/stick would probably have "Ban" inscribed on it.....cause you're the big scary admin fellow. :jamie: I'm still in for this, Rob i will definately have a spare passenger seat for you if you like.....i know you wouldnt wanna be seen in a Ke70. :hmm:
  18. And.....never to return again.....i hate seeing this dickheads name.
  19. Depends on whats been done with the engine itself....I've known of a few SC14 5K's getting around, i think one was actually on a stock engine. And i would be replacing the mechanical with a low pressure electric jobbie also....just remember to put a fuel filter before the pump.
  20. Open the other eye Jipster :) hehehe
  21. You're always welcome in my car rob..... :)
  22. I'm there.....loved the last one, just hope i don't get kicked out for noise....lol
  23. Yup, i can vouch for both of those types of tyre....i have the Yoko C-drives on the car atm and its a real pleasure to drive. I had the GIII's before them and they are still going strong on my mums car 3 years later....and she does ALOT of driving...lol
  24. Ok, you'll find that one of those connections will actually work the horn.....hook the wire to one and make sure to put the button in the steering wheel (cause it needs the other contact on the side to work) and test it.....if it doesnt work its the other one. :(
  25. You'll find that you will be able to remove the steel clips seen in the left of pic number 2 and most of the cover on the seat will lift up...Remove the steel clips with some pliers and then reapply them when fixed. I had this problem about a year ago....fixed it all up within a couple of hours. Then i went and bought a recaro.....lol
