what grinds my gears? People that don't know how to use a highway onramp..... I'm sorry mr i-don't-feel-like-accelerating, but the speed limit on the bruce highway is normally 100kph. 50kph does not cut it when trying to merge into 100kph traffic.....the other thing, DO NOT FKN STOP ON THE ONRAMP TO WAIT FOR TRAFFIC! There's 2 lanes on a highway for quite a few reasons, one of those reasons is so considerate people can move over to the right lane when they see a car merging. /rant

all depends on the build quality of the engine, has it been balanced? solid or hydro lifters? Thats my 5k....specs are in my sig. The actual needle is the top one, Teddy will vouch for seeing the tacho needle hit the shift light.

i have all the parts for a insane Supercharged 5K engine....just that i got defected when i was in the planning stages of actually installing it all in the car. I've put it all on hold for now while i sort out some other things. But if you need any info i'll try to help out as much as i can.

cam, these are a set i still have in on ome of my cars out the back. They were paint stripped to get the coating off and then highly buffed and polished. Took about 6 hours to do all 4 rims if i remember lol

And while talking about K engine spark plugs..... If you have a 5K dished piston engine, you may use the longer electrode spark plugs from an EA falcon. Part No. BRE527Y-11 They have a 1.1mm gap so you will have to reduce the gap to .8mm for a K engine. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A DISHED PISTON 5K FIRST!!!!! Putting these spark plugs in a normal flat piston engine will damage something for sure.

i can also vouch for seeing that cruiser doing unatural things......pure evil underneath that bonnet.

i definately would be trying to get that replaced.....

You've clicked on the wrong thing....rofl What you need to do is click on the options box in the right hand top corner of the post and select :switch to standard: Then you should see everything a ok again :D

Have a search for starter relay. i think theres a topic with a howto As for the clutch cable.....you may have to replace it if the plastic has melted into the sheath....it could bind up. Sounds like you have an earthing issue then....if your clutch cable? was hot.....means its trying to earth through that to the car body. Check all your earth wires leading away from the block to the body to see if they are all still there and clean. The clicking you heard this morning is because of the voltage drop between the battery and starter motor when trying to start (i think).....hooking up a relay will help this problem. rofl....looks like we are thinkin the same thing taz.

Just thought i'd chuck this up as it is a toyota and i thought a few people may be interested. I compete in RC drifting (won a couple of comps) and part of the drifting scene is to have a shell/body that looks the goods. Theres all kinds of combinations you can have...this shell was bought from japan and shipped over here and fortunately for me i won it in a competition. I have one out the back that needs a good clean up and some rust fixed in the top of the A pillars......i was thinking about letting it go cause i don't have the time or effort to work on it.....i'mnot so sure now. lol

Exhaust should be fine if using the 5K.....no mods needed there either :P

From what i can remember the yellow sticker basically tells you not to touch anything in the engine bay that could be hot or spinning really fast cause it could hurt you.... rofl And i agree with the exhaust....needs just a stainless steel 2" straight pipe out the back. :)
