Pays to know the roads then, i left at about 3pm i think.....drove down to the twin mobile's on the highway...saw the traffic, turned off at the mobile then took the old highway around it and got back on at toorbul. Proceeded down the highway again to the roadworks and got stuck a little there for bout 10mins....kept driving and trying to beat the storm home having some fun with a older WRX on the highway :hmm:. Got home about 30mins before the storm hit at my place in bracken ridge. :lolcry: Great day out....little pissed off i put sunscreen on 4 times and still got burnt. It was 30+spf sunscreen too.....fkn grrr. Edit- Link to a SE QLD Weather forum with storm pics. - http://forum.weatherzone.com.au/cgi-bin/ul...0;t=002580;p=16

I was the guy that organised the first group buy, it went reasonably well although there was some unexpected delays. I had my doubts on a second group buy and my doubts came through and i lost about $250 which i'm still trying to chase up and get the mould off the guy that was making them for me (yes, over a year later). Which brings me to this junction now....i have a spare splitter here that is currently in 3 peices (my first one) if i can get it repaired and moulded again, i may just be able to do more of these splitters up (IF there is genuine interest in them). So If anyone knows a fibreglasser that would be interested in making a bit of side cash then AND is in Brisbane and/or surrounding areas I would be more than happy to try and get some happening again. Cheers. Xany

The adds that shit me off the most....on the radio. Mostly during drive time shows (peak hour). Is the stupid RACQ adds where they play a song and theres a squeaking/knocking noise in the background of the song....you're just getting into the song and then the voice over guy comes in and says "Imagine if your car was actually breaking down right now"....No, i don't want to imagine that, because i do regular services to prevent it from happening you stupid numpty. Even If i was to break down i wouldnt be calling RACQ, i'd do what i did last time i blew up a diff and tow it home myself....least then i know it's not going to come home with half a stereo or dents in it. Plus the fact that any squeak in my car shits me to tears. I purposely wouldnt sign up to RACQ purely for those adds.

I thought thats why we have seating capacity rules and regs..... -
What he said ^^^^^^^^ *nods head*

Lock two nuts together on the stud so that you can use the bottom nut (the one closest to the block) to undo the stud without having to rip into it with multigrips or something similar.

Yeah, but john.....i have always tried to avoid driving in torrential and heavy rain (hell even just rain) for this exact reason. I'm wondering if there's a wiper motor out there that is a bit faster than the stock item that would fit....hrmmm
-
I was stating the fact that the R31 diff is over 100mm wider than the standard corolla item, that it would need to be shortened to fit normal wheels on and to prevent scrubbing. In my eyes you were trying to deceive the buyer into thinking that the diff would bolt straight in after "just welding mounts on" which is wrong, because as you know you would still have to shorten the tailshaft no matter what. I should know, i've had one of these diffs sitting out the side for about 3 years now cause i can't afford to shorten the tailshaft.....My housing and axels have been shortened though.
-
Yup, i'll grab at least one off ya....
-
Depends on what corolla its going into.........
-
In that case, caps are the way to go. $49 on three you get $350 worth of txt's and calls. Providing you don't go over $350 value (you can check this at any time on your phone) you only pay $49, you'll also get $120 worth of international calls included in the $350. If you go over the $350, you'll have to pay the $350 and whatever you have gone over the amount as well.

I've been with Three for over 3 years and never had any issues....i always have good signal and can get on the net on my phone just about anywhere in the city. They are always willing to answer any questions you may have regarding their services and phone plans, Quite helpful i think. And no i don't work for them, i just think you should know that not everyone thinks they are "terrible".
-
These diffs need to be shortened to fit in any corolla.....you can't "just weld mounts on" as you say. The axels and the housing need to be cut and rewelded. Also most corolla tailshafts need to be shortened about 40mm as the yoke on the diff is a touch longer than the standard corolla item.
