  1. That would not surpise me in the slightest. Though the cylinder walls in those things is surpisingly thin.

    10) Strut Brace -This model, the CS Seca, did not come with a front strut brace. I found one on ebay for $50. -I gave it a light sand and couple of coats of engine enamel. -I did the cam cover while I was at it after removing the stickers with a blade. purely cosmetic, but totally super race! -The holes required for the standard strutbrace were marked but not drilled. It's under the SR Super Response sticker on the firewall -Removed the vent grill. -Drilled them out with a 10mm bit. -Jacked the car up on the centre crossmember. Enough to get the front wheels off the ground. -Bolted to the top strut towers and then bolted to the firewall. -The firewall bolts were too long so i had to nut them from outside to prevent interference with the wiper arms Bob's your uncle... Fully sick handling improvement... totally rigid, hardly any chassis flexing. for Mr No it all!
  3. there could be a number of reasons the engine is overheating... *bunk water pump *bunk thermostat *losing coolant? *bunk radiator (cracked/corroded) *real low engine oil the list could go on... a blown head gasket or cracked head is usually the result of severe overheating....
  4. My ol'man has a cressida with a 7m-ge. He drives it hard and is consequently has become a master at replacing head gaskets as it blows through the cylinder walls quite regularly. Still does good skids... for a granny's car
  5. sh#t! i get a little excited sometimes... gives wifey the shits hardcore!
  6. oh yeah! sway bar!
  7. cheers fellas.... ....just had a look. I can't see any brass screw. I hope that threaded hole isn't what we're talking about.
  8. Where is the air/fuel mixture screw on the 4afc carburettor? Also what is the best way to set it? Car has a funky unburnt fuel smell at idle so I think it's running a bit rich...
  9. The title says it all...... a $1.60+
  10. That looks like 5 course meal at breakfast.....
  11. spacers are hardly legal though, well in QLD aren't.
  12. spit shine these and a powdercoat centre and they'd look tuff as on a low ke70.... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Bathurst-Globe-13in...=item27b1790900 for 99c there is no wrong.
  13. 15 X 6 1/2in will fit straight on. You could go 7 wide but would need offset. Is it lowered? Do you have a budget? If not go to a wheel shop.
  14. the stud pattern is a whole 14.5 mm off centre. you could go all out and drill your stud holes about 8mm larger but that would most likely end in tragedy though wobbles. not entirely sure about 8inches wide with a 25mm offset. you might get them on the rear but they'd probaby rub on the front struts.
  15. there is a ae84 seca being sold on ebay at the moment as a ae92. It is clearly the pre '89 seca with a 4ac but it even the VIN his AE92 in it. . . . suss! :) ebay
  16. Yeah i'd try and keep it simple and efffecctive. Anyone know what's involved in a rear drum to disc conversion on a ae92 seca>? I've seen the disc kits on ebay but not sure about calibers, lines and studs and what have you. I was thinking maybe front calipers if i can get the rear rotors off ebay. Is it worth the risk? Ive bought stuff off ebay before and been severly disappointed.
  17. Damn! Did you cry? I would have cried! Right after I knocked that c*** the f*** out!
  18. That's mad. I've gone with macca's trays and the hand brake but have never tried the reverse 180's as this is my only form of transport and Bob Jane isn't a cheap f*^ker!
  19. At least someone agrees with me....Thanks Nobs'
  20. did you find much of a gain with the custom intake and pod? some say its worth it other say don't bother....
  21. My twin-cam has a 3 bolt strut tower. The all do from what i've seen. Could be Camry or Celica front struts....
  22. Who said NA would make more power than blown? who said it? I certainly didn't.... the problem I am stating- increased wear and tear. <<< Means bye bye engine a lot earlier than the finacial equivelent spent on good pistons and rods with $100 head job on a mill.
  23. No chance in hell for the RB 30. You'd slip by with the 20, 25, 26. I looked into putting a 3.5L alloy Rover V8 with a auto trans I had handy into my ke70. Was told no chance. Maximum 50% displacement increase from standard engine with certs. For a 5K motor that gives you 2.275L to play with. And that was before the new laws came in. God knows where its nowadays....
  24. Tried friending the bastard several times... the stiff used to live in Beautown, where I currently reside. Won't accept me. Accept it Des.... it was ment to be!
  25. I need to ask, who is this "Des" you speak of?
