  1. The legality of setting up an unofficial donation fund is questionable. Due too tax and fraud reasons all charities must be registered as that and all takings must be recorded and submitted. The way around this... is giftcards... go to K Mart, Big W or even KFC and buy a gift card and mail it directly to the people in need. Although cash is a good thing to have, a $50 Coles gift card will free up $50 in the pocket and can not be abused in the manner cash can be.
  2. Looks good man. :y:
  3. 4 people confirmed dead so far in the Toowoombah area...
  4. URGENT: QPOL recommend immediate evacuations in some locations. Massive flash flooding in South East QLD Lockyer Valley to Ipswich. Reports mention walls of water between 7 and 13 metres high. Expected flooding to reach Brisbane by tomorrow. Caution to all Western suburbs! Two dead, others at risk in Toowoomba
  5. you can get em just about any auto shop. There about 12 bucks...
  6. That happened to my retreads on my ae92 seca after a 160kph run in the bumf@$knowhere of beautown. Only the eggs were comparable to that of an emu! BAHAHAHA. Driving back to coleman tyres was like driving across the nullarbor, in the gutter.
  7. If the heart isn't in it, the motivation will never hold. Set it loose and take what you can get. People are more inclined to buy good parts then buy a big piece of shit. In other words, strip the cars for whats worth keep and be realistic. Straight unrusted gaurds and bumpers, clean windows, seats, interior and engine parts. Send the rest to scrap. Sell the A motor as a complete package for $600 ono and it will all be gone in a week... ...or do like the cat lady and fight for your shit heap.
  8. ramflo.... ram-flo.... The idea of an induction system is to decrease air flow resistance into the cylinder as the piston pulls in on its induction stroke. This resistance can be minimised firstly with the air box/filter, then by port and cam work and finally by exaust work, allowing air to exist faster and easier. That, which you do to one will only complement the other....
  9. Use the 5k head. Get it ported but don't shave the shit out of it. With a big cam you'll see an increase in compression any how. The solid lifter conversion isn't as simple as it seems. It depends on what engine you have and what parts you can aquire. You never know it may already be solid. If it has adjustable rocker gear then its a solid lifter D- shaped piiston engine. Keep it simple. Port the head and reseat the valves. Get a cam grind depending on what lifters you've got. Do your flywheel if you want but the hills won't be fun anymore. Make sure it gets plenty of fuel with a good exaust and she'll be sweet.
  10. 1- 3.77:1 2- 2.21:1 3- 1.43:1 4- 1.00:1
  11. You have touched many corollas here, Raven. Many cars. Much respect.
  12. looks like its got a bad arse oil leak... ...but it doesn't. I just spilt half a litre when I was trying to fill it up with VB.
  13. I say Yes! :y:
  14. it depends on the paint your using... 2pac will need a 2pac primer, acrylic will need an acrylic primer and so on and so on. I'd look for the good parts of the body, rub them back and prime them. the bad parts will need to be cut and welded. Start working your way through, front to back or back to front. BUT.... Don't even look at a top coat colour until you've located all the rust and either fixed if its bady bads or rust converter'd it if its not so bady bads. Note that: rust converter doesn't last forever..... but either does steel.
  15. I've got gregory's manuals for the ke20 and ke55 and both have a wider front track than rear as standard. My assumption is that it increases the handling capabilites. I'd assume it would be the same for a ke70...
  16. I sat down and punched out the math once upon a time... your car uses 10% ethanol based fuel 27% faster than 98 octane fuel and 98 does not cost 27% more. Therefore it is more economical to use 98 octane based fuel and drive efficiently than it is to use 10% ethanol blended fuel and drive efficiently. That was based on my 04' Camry with a 2A-ZFE engine, manual transmission.
  17. Was it yellow?
  18. you shouldn't have to connect anything up to your battery. I take it you didn't get a manual with your tacho...
  19. black wire - solid earth green wire - positive coil red wire - negative coil white wire - tail light fuse in the fuse box
  20. Standard bottom end, acl pistons and rebuild kit, power drive twin timing kit, holden solid lifters, aftermarker datsun pushrods, big Tighe 104 cam, ported and polished 4k head, 4k valves and rocker gear with 5k valve springs & shimmed oil pump. That's all i can think of for now.
  21. Yeah ran it for about a 20 minutes on full choke. Not entirely sure what rpm she was sitting at but with open extractors I had to leave the shed. My ears were ringing. Then we set the rockers and did it again. No smoke, no smell. She's fresh, real fresh! It's just the single manifold Zoidy. Just the single.
  22. On the first day of the first month Gav said run.... ......and it did. Used the old 3k carby to run it in. Wired up the elctric dizzy, hooked up the heater hoses, put the 3k-b manifold and carby on and some gas in the tank. After a bit of turn over without the coil lead she fired straight up. It's angry. REAL ANGRY!
  23. PHAT 20!!! or it will be... :y:
