  1. Your distributor is a tooth out... 18 teeth on the dizzy. 1 tooth = 20°
  2. Vacuum leaks.... plug them off. Pollution gear on pre 1980's vehicles wasn't super fantastic at doing much other than decreasing performance.
  3. Looks good Chris. Be good to see this at AJD.
  4. What time are people going? I'm probably going pretty early. Got to try and keep the RC cars together.
  5. Movie - Atomik Circus
  6. I'm interested pending the missus doesnt pull a swifty.
  7. I'm using 202 anti pump lifters with a solid cam. 0.010" valve clearance. I've had no problems though I don't have a big cam or double valve springs.
  8. Peaks out at about 70km/h down hill. It gets a bit sketchy when the front forks start flexing.
  9. A combination of my Razorback chopper and my brothers ingenuity... you gots to have balls to ride. 70cc 2 stroke, sports carb, expansion chamber exaust, 500ml Just Juice fuel cell, NOS Energy boost bottle, direct drive. Tube forks with 26" alloy front, 20" steel rear with 3" rear tyre. Front brakes only, rear pegs only. I hope you like.
  10. I don't believe the runner length would affect it much at all really. It's not a large difference.
  11. Black shirt, white text in XXL k thanks bye
  12. The water is wet... To everyone suffering, I hope you and your property is a-ok.
  13. Has toyota lost faith in their motors or are they just cheating out and letting someone else do the hard stuff. Where I come from its called selling out. Like when your favourite band suddenly goes mainstream and stops writing there own songs.
  14. You can boast if you get 70kw out of a NA 4k.
  15. A lot of tyre joints are reluctant to put 185s on a 6 inch rim.
  16. Yokohama A-Drive 175/70 R13 haven't let me down and I do 50km of 80/100kph windy and straight road each way, for work everyday. Lets just say, the thunder run from Beaudesert to Yatala is far from a good quality road.
  17. Idle mixture screw should be at the base of the carb. Probably has a tamper proof cup over it. The idle speed screw will be on the linkage where your accerlator cable hooks up. There the only adjusts you have. Everything else will come down to jetting. A complimentary picture.
  18. Gotta love emission controlled after market carbies. Electrically heated choke, Fuel solenoid, Float chamber vent valve, Fuel return check valve, Sealed idled mixture screw. Emission controlled carbies run marginally leaner than others so increasing idle richness can help with drivability, if you can access your mixture screw... The idle speed screw is probably your only friend....
  19. My 2000 Astra X18XE was a pit. Bought the car for the wife in 2007 with 127,000km from a dealer for $9990. Battery died within 3 days Front struts within a week. Coil pack with a month Timing belt and water pump were never done... lies lies lies. Bearing in the pump went and the timing belt slipped at 155,000. KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK. $2800 thanks. Mechanic managed to smash the front windscreen during the work. This car was cursed. Front wheel bearings went a few months later.... replaced the CV's while it was in the shop. $700 Clutch and slave cylinder went together at about 180,000km. $1600 The front suspension was completely clapped out again by 200,000km That's just off the top of my head. The last straw came on a Sunday afternoon at around 219,000km. Had a couple of brewskis whilst replacing the oil filter housing O-ring and cam cover gasket to slow constant oil leaks. Tried to take it for a test drive but got booked by the 5-0 reversing out of my drive way. Lost my license for drink driving. Car was sold for $1500 off my front a lawn a month later. My old man bought a 2002 Vectra a couple of months ago despite my warnings...
  20. Once you've wrapped them you need to paint them with some heat proof silicon paint to seal them up. Being glass fibre wrap it doesn't last long on its own.
  21. Agreed... Very cool car. You should have kept the tube headers wrapped. People under estimate its benefits.
  22. Bahahaha!
  23. Opical Illusion
  24. I'm using a stock 4k cam in my 5k. As long as I shift when the cam peaks it thunders up to 75mph. Winding out sounds cool but doesn't do much in the way of gains. Problems come to mind when running big lift in a high rpm engine. A lot of distance to travel in a short time at 7200rpm. That valve would be opening 60 times a second. Excess inertia wold destroy that top end. Making it not overly reliable. Duration is what you want...
