  2. You can always counter a shorter diff with DISH!
  3. Notice how the "virtual reaction point" moves to the opposite side of the car. I'm guessing its a good thing.
  4. Yeah i mixed up the control arm heights. Heres the ammended version. Also where i estimate it to be with 35mm rca's.
  5. I did my best at measuring up my front end. I either got it wrong or this is the reason my car likes to wander with the camber of the road.
  6. Looks like something I should be putting then ke20. It's 55mm lower in the front, so how would i work out what size I need?
  7. These are the reproduction items from eBay on my ke20. Your right, fitment isn't great, but... ...sometimes you gotta do what do gotta you sometimes ; ) My car isn't a show car so I'm not to concerned.
  8. "It's got a Toyota Motor in it. 1290cc."
  9. You can also go to the exaust shop and get some extractors.
  10. You can get a steel gasket from most exaust shops.
  11. Could be the ignition barrel has clapped out...

    Spotted Qld

A fella in a white old school Mazda wagon waves every time we pass each other in Yatala. Who are you mr nice guy?
  13. You'll just need an adapter plate and an air cleaner to fit a weber. Some ingenuity will help when it comes to hooking up the throttle cable and maybe some modification to the PVC system. If your clever you can make the stock pcv work. You'll likely have to ditch all the pollution gear, which will mean blocking and bunging off a few holes here and there.
  14. And a weber and extractors.....
  15. That missing blonde girl is in my fuel tank!!!!
  16. easy. black wire to original dizzy wire. black and orange wire to positive coil.
  17. Doesnt sound right to me bud. Only other motor ive heard of of going through lifters and cams like this are small block fords and they are all hydrauluc. Big problem with them is valve seat pressure and cam degreeing not oil circulation. Id still be questioning the accuracy of the gauge.
  18. I reckon you should shim the rocker pedestals to counter whatever you took of the block.
  19. I'm thinking the block is too short... so the rocker ratio is thrown out, putting excess pressure on the lifters, which is loading up the cam & labouring the oil pump. I'm running a standard 5k block 20 thou overbored (not decked), with shallow dish pistons (not machined), 4k head and the Datsun/chev lifter/rod conversion. The same setup but my block is 5mm taller. With the Tighe 104 cam (.423" lift) the adjustable rocker gear was at the end of its tether. Where'd you find the extra 5mm for the rocker adjustment?
  20. Otherwise you might consider a bigger sump.
  21. I'd run it for 5 minutes and pull the rocker cover. If its wet..... You know it's not the pump.
  22. It's a very very basic systematic and there isn't much that goes wrong. It's either the pump, the sensor or the gauge.... Q
