Thanks for the replies, as for the need for big brakes, my 1200 ute was CA18DET powered with a best of 12.2 1/4mile backing off as it use to get really loose at the end of the track, it had a VS commodore front caliper on custom machined discs with a coilover setup up front and the R31 disc rear end. i am planning on using the car for drag racing purposes as was my ute, the car will be quicker so the need for bigger brakes is required. at the moment anything is better then my idea as it wont be cheap to do, but in the end i want it to stop as well if not better then my ute did.
