I'll wait to see how the car turns out before i decide on its future use. But economically its cheaper to use a very good car as a base for a race car than spend around $8000 restoring one before you even touch the mechanicals and saftey items ( cage, seat, harness etc ). This way i just detail what i've got and add new mechanicals, cage, suspension etc.

Now 16, i also bought a 90 Model Liberty GX AWD wagon today to be the everyday luxury hack!

Arrived just an hour ago on a truck from Victoria. On initial drive and inspection i have no doubt that the car has only travelled 48,000miles. Interior is very good, only two small holes in the drivers seat, all other seats, door trims, roof lining and rubber floor coverings are perfect. All door and boot rubbers are excellent and the paintwork is pretty much all original. The front apron has had a small bump and an ordinary repair, but thats easily fixed. Engine and box are perfect and the car drives like new. All brightwork is excellent so to are all the lenses. Considering i bought the car sight unseen ( pics only ) i'm very happy! Plans are for a complete stip down and detail, i'll post more pics as this happens. May end up being the base for an Historic Nc race car! Oh What A Feeling! :(

A 2 door KE70, I just want one!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I started building it many years ago. KE25 front end, Mazda RX7 SII front struts & brakes with Koni's and a fully welded chrome molly cage. Actually had the 4K motor out of my KE70 Kahanacross car in it. Still don't know what i'm going to do with it. ;)

NSW Club Rego plates. I could'nt afford to keep them all fully registered! ;)

The KE 30 has the vinal stuff on the boot walls, it to was peeling off. I just use spray adheasive to glue it back on. You'll need to hold it up somehow until the glue dries. The interior carpet wasn't that bad, but it to got the pressure cleaner treatment.

Once its finished it will be for sale. Besides the major detail i've replaced front brake pads & rear brake shoes, front wheel bearings and rear wheel cylinders. Still to come, new tyres and a full service including oil & filter, plugs, points, air filter & fuel filter. Hopefully will all be completed by the end of the week! ;)

Good looking ride, Balina is a great place, i've got a house in Lismore i spent 6 years living up there. A nice little 4K or 5K would be great for it. Not to expensive or costly to run. Good luck and happy Corollaring !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

As a kid growing up he was my idol and my hero. When asked what do you want to be when you grow up, i always answered " Peter Brock". Its a sad day. Thanks for all the memories.

Today my KE10 which i've owned for the last 11 years has found a new home. The new owner certainly proved himself to be a worthy owner of a classic Japanese car, turning up in a stunning little Mazda 1300. Makes the pain of loosing a great little friend easier knowing its going to a good home. :lock:

Have you thought about an earlie Honda Civic or City. I used to run a Honda City prior to my KE 70, not as much fun as the RWD but heaps quicker and it was a stocker!!!!! ;)

Recently completed fabricating new fully adjustable front suspension set up on my KE17. Removed leaf spring, welded threaded tube to existing struts, fitted wind up platforms and 3" coils & Koni's, repositioned pick up point for lower control arm on the cross member and also position of the top of the struts mounting point. Ended up with about 2 1/4 degrees neg and some castor as well. Cost of all this one off fabrication was nearly $2k, not cheep but definatly worth it. Started off by weighing the car front and back to determine the correct Koni to be used, i'm no engineer so had to pay to get it all done. :P
