Yea i have the engine crain holding it in place just incase

Got all the bolts from the gear box to the engine unbloted and the only thing holding the the gearbox in is the moutns from the xmember but i need to know about the drive shafts and the linkages from the shifter. can i just unbolt the box and when i take it out slide out the shafts or do i need to unbold them and remove them first.

Hi all, I just got an AE82 with a 4AGE nice deal for only $200 but it needs a new clutch, I'm new to FWD cars i have never worked on them before just need to know what the best approach I should take towards this? I have heard that in some FWD cars u need to take the engine out to get to the gear box/clutch I'm hoping in this case that I can just take every thing out that’s in the way and slide the gear box off the engine.

Hmm i mby ill just go with the 205s then, i just always wana know whats the max i can do with every thing That looks pretty sweet but how much room do you have on the inside? i still wana know if i can go wider :wink:

I didnt even think i was till you pointed it out, a mate has 195s alround and it handles pretty good i just wana see how 205s+ will go.

As far as i know 195s are still affordable and that 205s wont take the price up that much I'm just not sure if the rims will let me have anything bigger then 195s on the front rear looks as tho they could take alot more but i like to have the same size all the way around.

Hey, Just wondering what are the fatest tiers anyone has run on 14" ma61s on a A/KE.71/0 I'm running 185s atm but its time for some new ones and need to know what people recomend. I have the car at stock hight but do plan to lower later on not a huge amount.

Hey I got a sports steering wheel with boss kit for free but I have no idea how to find out what car it fits on. Do they have a diameter/spline spec or is it just a guessing game?

If they screw up i get some new wheels looks like i can't lose :D

Hey all iv just got some MA61s but the guy who had them before me painted them black iv got the paint stripper on to them but its taking much longer then I anticipated. I have cleaned some up a fair bit but its just the last bit of pain and on others the inside pieces don't want to come clean. The first dab of stripper got the paint to blister in a matter of seconds and the brush was able to get it down to the metal, but from then on it seams like slow going. I'm weary of using a ruff surface, scraper or anything like that cos I don't want to scratch them. At the moment I'm just trying with a stiff brush and a tooth brush. Has any one tried a scraper on them before or have an idea about how to speed things up. Also when I got the rims I was told that the stock nuts off of the 13” alloys would work is this right? This is the best one but it still has some paint on it and some of the others are much worse.

Thanks for that cleared up a lot of confusion wonder where i got the idea of a t52 :) guess ill just have to look in to getting a t50 with the different spline or maybe not worry about it at all.

Hi, I have just got a 1600 2t out of a celica for free and i currently have a 4-ac with a t50 box, i know that the 2t comes stock with a t52 but i wanted to know if a 2t could go in to a t50. Also i was wondering is it worth it, replacing a 4-ac with a 2t. I believe that the 4ac puts out about 90hp (may be less as is the aus version and haven't taken the pollution gear off yet) and i think the 2t puts out about 100hp (not so sure about that)
