  1. hey Johno Go the 17" rims if you have trouble with the tyres rubbing on the struts, get yourself some camber pins. nolathane sell them the 12mm set does the job quite nicely. Just remove rear wheels remove top bolt securing the hub to the strut install the camber pin on each side in its place. there is a little tab face it so that it is pointing towards (not directly at) the wheel. and tighten them up, get down to your closest tyre shop and get them to do a wheel alignment to get the camber spec right then you'll be cheerin :hmm: if you want a part number let me know :jamie:
  2. Hey Johno, I'm a new forum member, would just like to say that you have made such a great effort to strip this beauty down and document your progress so well. I have picked up some tips and tricks for startin on my own 86 Ae82 rolla and i am keen to follow your progress and put what i learn from you and many others into my future builds. Thanks for restoring a great Rolla keep up the effort, don't give up on your DREAM! it keeps not just you going but all those other DIY'ers who are struggling to get the job done right.   3. Hi all, The name is scott form the sunshine coast queensland. My latest addition to my collection. This one is a 88 Ae82 originally had 4a in, engine was converted to 4age bigport prior to purchase, very tidy car. I would like to get a lsd in there...dunno how hard thats gonna be :lolcry: will be doing plenty of diy which i intend to photograph and document along the way so i look forward to sharing little build projects with one and all. My other rolla is a 86 Ae82 with a 4a and bog stock everything gonna get it nice and tidy and sell her to fund the work i will be doin on the 88 rolla eventually. Look forward o the plethora of info to be shared and hope i can help others where i can. If ya need tyres come see me at work pm me for details. Later.
