If u r in an accident, regardless of handles or not they just smash everything around u n if its serious they cutt ur car up with the jaws of life. Its all personal choice to who wants to shave off or not.

Yeah?!!! I spoke to the local mechanic that does the registration on my vehicles and said that as long as it has a mechanical & not an electrical opening system that it shuld b sweet. He said that i need handles for the shear purpose of having an accidnet. But if what you have said is 100% from the RTA then i guess I'm sweet, hey?? This all come around from the mini truck scene and thought i wuld spice up a rolla. This has really made my day! Cheers

Hows every1 goin? I'm in NSW and I'm trying to get some information into the legalities of shaved door handles. To start the car has a remote central locking system fitted. For the moment i have shaved off the RH/R door handle and I fabricated out of a very tough wire, a hook attached the the door mechanism, that rises out of the weatherstrip at the back of the quarter window. When u push down the door opens and has a strong return spring so the hook returns. I need to find out every angle eg (Engineering, other peoples experiences) so i no wheather to continue on with my customisation Cheers

Ok so heres a response to the post. I have a 20 Valve Silvertop that has let a piston go n smashed a hole in the front of the engine. Is the any suggestions to wheather I can use a 100kw block but with the internals of a 20 Valve ie. Crank, Pistons, Conrods etc?? Or even get the bottom end of a 100kw and just swap the pistons around to reduce the chance of bending valves?? Any help would b greatly appreciated.

How is every1? I have just joined the Rolla Club to hopefully get some help with my newly aquired 20V Silvertop. I bought the car off ebay with the knowledge of the engine being blown up. I'm asuming the conrod has let go and gone through the front of the block but tomorrow I'm going to do an extensive look at it all. Can anybody in NSW (prefferably) or all of Australia supply me with new or used bottom end parts for my engine. All information about the engine would be awesome. Cheers
