  1. awesome. a ke70 cruise would be wicked... ive wanted to arrange one for ages, i just don't have the 'connections' :). but neways, id b there, for sure.
  2. ya i might even cruise down from Toowoomba for it :jamie: you never know. depends if i still have my beasty KE70 then or maybe a different car. who knows.... ill give it a shot, anyway. foote
  3. righto, went and had a chat to the engine reconditioner (Re-Power Engine Re-conditioning :-) ) and he's doing me up a quote.... should be ready soon. So i'll see how much I need to spend. Fingers crossed I can do something alright for cheap. Hey super jamie.... just interested.... what exactly did you do to your 4K? was it naturally aspirated? or did you turbo or supercharge it or something? o yea and how much power did you end up getting? any idea? from what you said, it sounded pretty damn impressive.
  4. righto, well seems like my little topic kinda got a little out of hand :-P. anyway, I'm planning on taking my 'rolla to a good mate of mine who's dad is an engine reconditioner and see what he thinks of the engine. fingers crossed it's all good. i'll probably keep the topic updated if i actually get anything done. however i just bought myself a sub-notebook computer for uni next year, so yea i dunno how much work i'll be getting done on the car any time within the next month or so. hopefully ill get something done soon tho. ta for the help anyways. foote.
  5. basically..... i really don't care too much about the looks; as long as its tidy, i don't care if there no body mods, apart from the essential. i wouldnt mind a good set of secondhand mags tho, but they can wait til lata. yea i just want a clean car that actually goes a bit, unlike it does atm. its a bit pitiful at the moment. and fuel consumption... hell its not going to get THAT much more, whatever i do to it. unless i chuck a v8 in it or something, it should be pretty good like it is atm. i get around 10L/100km round town, dunno what on the road. a bit better tho. as long as i keep getting you know something like that I'm pretty happy aye. so yea, power, for sure. so.... ill get it pressure tested, find out results, get a few opinions.... and maybe then spend some money. woohoo....
  6. righto ill look into it tomorrow. whats so special about 160 psi? I'm guessing thats the 'if-its-below-this-its-farked' number?
  7. righto... i was thinking 1500 all up on the car, not just on the powerplant. and i had a look at the 4K build-up website, and well it says everything you can do, not what you probably should do for cheap. come on, I'm a stoodent. and yea. ok. where should i start then?
  8. hey ya'll I'm tim, a noob here, from toowoomba, queensland. ive had my 1984 ke70 for about... 9 months now. the engine's starting to get a bit old, and needs a rebuild soon i be thinking as it is starting to leak a bit of oil here and there... not great amounts, but just enough to be noticable. anyway, i was thinking of putting a 4age or something similar in but eh, bugger it, i think ill just clean up the old 4K-C. this is also my first car, so I'm still learning about which bits do what and all that sorta stuff. so any suggestions? id be prepared to spend a fair bit (maybe like $1500 tops) and yea. the car is fully stock, engine wise, atm. i keep her running pretty well, as well as i know how anyways... but she's pretty good. also if anyone knows how good those fuel saver thingies like 'hiclone' and that are, give me a yell bout that too. goddamn fuel prices are dodge as. its not a question, its a general comment :-). one question, right. ta people tim
