Ok so I'm havng a few problems with the carb 1- can't get it to sit at an idle, will sit at around 2k alright for a while until it will splutter and die, is this vacuum leak or will i need to play with the idling? 2- is the carb supposed to jet down petrol, or have a fine spray of petrol? atm mine jets down petrol. 3- Pre-Ignition, when i turn the car of after running it for 5 or so minutes, it will get pre-ignition running for about 5-10 seconds longer thanks

Hey was looking at my emissions diagram, and there's one bit labeled as the "canister", its situated in the front drivers side quarter, and true to its name looks like a big black canister, with one hose coming from pollution gear and another going towards the back of my car.....just curious :wink:

  6. hmm, missed one pipe on the carby, small one near the bottom, not the vacuum hose or fuel line ok dumb question, but does the webber need a choke to run, cos this one doesn't have it..

  8. webber is on!, took pollution gear off, but now the idling bah, so you turn the car on, it would rev up, then go down to approx 500rpm, kinda spluttering, and then when u revved it up to 4k, it would stay at about 3k......whats going on here?
  9. sick, i got some just incase, "resists gasoline oil kerosene, grease propane etc etc" lol, let the installation commence!
  10. =D thanks guys, should i use gasket glue between the manifold and the adapter plate and between the adapter plate and the carb?, or isn't that necessary??

Hey just taken original carby off, going to put the webber carby on, has a 4k adaptor plate, not too sure how its goign to attach to the manifold, bolts from the original carb mount come up and through the adaptor plate, but how does the adaptor plate get secured to the manifold???? awesomesssss ^_^

Hey guys, noticed on my ke70 when i rev it up to about 2.5k the engine consistently has a falter, the revs dip a little, almost like a rough idle only at higher revs, could it just need to be serviced and tuned? Also when accelerating at about 4k there's a sound as if someones got an electric saw in my engine bay and grinding it against some metal, could this be the fan? Engine almost sounds as if its running low on oil, but i've checked and it says its full...hasn't used any oil since i bought it =s=s Any help would be appreciated, just getting a bit paranoid is all ^_^ also engine has only done about 120 000k's Hey also been tryiong to get my tow ball off and the bumper, the bolts which hold the bracket to the car look as if they are rusted stiff, any tips or tricks to get em loose, tried dousing em with rp7....maybe not the best idea, really any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks

  17. Hey just wondering if anyone out there has ever swapped a 1600 2t engine into a ke70 (4k engine), if so what new parts were needed, did it fit well?, Ive been told a t50 gearbox goes with the 16002t(different spline's??). Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. thanks
