well on friday it was a great day for the first half the second half i had to visit the dentist to get 2 teeth removed but when i came back justin aka SLW42 was around just before i went and he help me with a timing problem with the car at first the weber that i got with the car wasnt working properly and so he and another mate that turned up both decided to put the standard carby that comes form a 2 or 3t motor on there and they soon had the beast fired up and working like a charm well done to them guys so now its just a bit of body work and paint and interior and new exhaust then little odds and ends and presto it should be with reach of been on the road in the near future lol

that is something i would have wanted to see cause i have heard some stories just would have like to have seen him in action

yea its all good mate how was it last night

well today's update is that i managed to get the front K-mac camber tops and super low springs and struts from the other car into this beast also i managed to put the old stuff that was not the best in the gun metal grey one in the front as i want to put it on the ground soon so it has 2 front wheels just got to get around to putting the diff back into it and it should be on the ground i also managed to start the white one and feed it some fuel thou i think i need to go over the motor and stuff needs a tune and will have to save and get the other exhaust put on and use the extractors and it doesnt look to bad sitting on all four MA61's i will have to get some better pics but there is gradual progress guys and girls

man looks so much nicer sitting on those MA61's very nice and great base for a project

well people i can tell you that i have personally seen them today after work and what a buy definitly suit the blackpearl aye justin

well guys huge update here there has been a slight change in the plans and i will let the pictures explain what i mean basically i now have another ta22 celica which my dad picked up for me and its a much better shell to you as the streetable car and well i am keeping the gun metal shell as well just i wont be putting it on the street the daily is pretty much the cleanest project i have come across it only had rust in the rear drivers side quater and since then has been fixed so basically all the drive line parts iam keeping and using except the motor at this stage as the motor that came in the car runs well and just needs a tune it has a weber carby on there such a score it came as a complete car plus parts that i was missing the only part of the car that was missing was the interior as the guy that had it got the interior repolstered and sold that separately so no big deal really but yea i started doing stuff already the diff has been swapped over and now onto the front suspension as the diff from the other shell had way better bushes and brakes and the whole car will be sitting on superlows looking awsome i even installed my adjustable panarod into her as well i forgot to mention the whole car is in primer just needs some more primer in spots and we can then paint her so its more a less a better body to work with as the other still needs time and yea dad wanted to see me finish it off but we couldnt pass this chance to grab a bargin when we saw it stay tuned for more progress on this thread pics to come enjoy and i will get better ones when i can not the best pic of the car here are my two celicas next to each other i added the gront grill and headlights after i painted the radiator support black need a different touch back end of the car with the taillights and panels and back bar and what the car looks like with the MA61s on the beast

well update time and i add a few pics its was sitting at stock height in the back end for about 3 - 4 weeks so on the weekend thanks to the help of justin aka SLW42 who managed to help me out i now have the lowered leafs that i recently got from curly and they originally came from (JIP) of his ke55 coupe and i also got some different wheel running 205/60/r13 all round jelly beans looks awsome still going well for the daily today however the orignial seat where you wind it up and down suddenly gave way and snapped from where it holds in so i managed to just elongate the holes on the original rails and fitted a ta22 celica seat for now and worked a treat this is one of the old seat i havent gotten one of the celica on but you will get an idea of what i mean i marked where the broken area is even thou you can see it properly

that is definitly a great score man well done i will be watching this thing closely

well i will be working on this beast in a couple of weeks i just picked all my suspension parts for her up from curly glad i jumped on that so the car will be re-lowered again but all legal this time the springs are reset 2 inches lower and got all new nolathane and superpro bushes Atm is has different wheels on her as now i have a few sets just waitng till tax time to put tyres on another set and see how they look

so any updates mate

this would be the way to go mate i lot better than blocks but it costs more just depends also when i had them in my car the the dude that did my RWC took them out and said they are illegal not sure whats the go is but unless someone can say otherwise i would suggest the flipped leafs and then and extra leaf for strength just my 2 cents for ya

very nice there matt those wheels do look good on there and nice work by terry on the flaring job i definitly want to find me some mesh wheels sorta like yours for my corolla lol :hmm:
