  6. Spain dominated that match and showed how good they can play.... fingers crossed they win the final!! they deserve it!
  7. far out gone are the days of dodgy r/w/c haha... fair enough the gearbox mount and muffler but the other things...mmm... lol
  8. the 25+yr old ex manifold should hold up with the heat wrap it is toyota after all lol.... when it cracks is anyones guess.....
  9. good work evan.... should be a good daily, once you rwc it u going to modify it more u keep it stockish??
  10. having had a few k series engines before going 4age in my ride... in my opinion just go the 4age... money spent on the k engine better off going towards the 4age conversion.... another option which is more straight forward than the 4age option would be 5k which would be a better basis to modify than the 4k.....
  11. lol at some of the posts in here.... for a family car definatly have to be modern vehicle.... nissan stagea or mitsubishi legnum... and no mods like coilovers and sports exhausts haha
  12. the vn wagon commodore rears fit , if you car is lowered you could go the suzuki sierra front shocks for the rear which are shorter and stiffer.
  13. no kidding just googled it saw alot of instances where hairline cracks occured after a track day! they were cross drilled vented items.....i will still give it a go for experimental purposes maybe the solid discs will hold up lol
  14. upgrading front end is obvious ...but i have just replaced struts/springs/pads/brake lines recently ,Stuff i collected up over the yrs.. i happen to have some discs which are like new.... i was thinking off getting them cross drilled and putting them on for a while....
  15. i have a ke35 4age small port powered, with stock jap rotors/sumitomo calipers!...... for day to day driving it pulls up pretty good... but they get quite hot even with normal driving.... i was thinking of getting the adm discs and getting them cross drilled ..... u guys wreckon it will hold up and disipate the heat better?
  16. god you don't f@$k around should be a good daily when done keep it up!
  17. sounds to good to be tru.... if u were in melb id swap ya ke35 4age.....You should be able to find a fair coupe for cheap mate..... straight swap you car ur loosing out bad , the datsun is worth more than a old corolla!
  18. for the back suzuki sierra front shocks are stiff and suit if car has been lowered as they are shorter, the front there isnt much choice i believe the pedders are stiffer than the monroe type. i have read that older late 80's toyota mr2 rear shock fit up front of ke, maybe wrong thou....
  19. there getting rare hence price is on the rise. i wreckon with 2 door coupes people are wiling to pay more....i still find cheap sedans around... i been trying to find a coupe for parts but i aint paying more than 1k for a shitter which half the time don't even run and has rust..... .... i remember 7 or so yrs ago wreckers had overrated ones to good for wrecking going for price of a f@$ked up one now days... i notice a few for sale online which were bought for f@$k all no doubt and people just trying to make a quick buck as someone online is willing to pay to much more ...
  20. if your on a budget just get some monroe gas strut inserts and boot/bump stop kit if required for the front. the rear you could use kyb front shocks from suzuki sierra which are stiff and shorter so suit if lowered around 2inches.
  21. I'm my daily ke35 i have the stock front end struts with compressed/reset approx 2 inches lower stock springs and monroe gt strut inserts new boots/bumps stops.. i couldnt find a shorter stroke shock to suit but the monroes work good enough. apparently there are the pedders equivalent shock inserts which as 15% stiffer than the monroes you could use. The rear is lowered 2 inches is flipped leafs one extra put in, i run suzuki sierra kyb front shocks, they bolt straight in the rear of the corolla, there shorter stroke and stiffer. a few guys in here run them they work a treat. I also had lowering blocks in the back of mine previuosly and they did the job, but the extra leaf and flip is better ride.
  22. good work on the under body sound deadening ive always wanted to do that to my coupe can't get motivated enough...lol
  23. yeh the rust looks badder when its bubbling up like that! ....u leaving it square light front end or circle light conversion? personal pref i prefer the circle lights front but I'm sure some people disagree with me haha mayb some ke30 bumpers aswell?
  24. that car looks real good on photos can't see the rust!.... typical rust my coupe had in same areas but alot less! should look even better once cleaned up. congrats dude...
  25. id definatly buy a more appropriate tow vehicle.......the only towing id do in a ke70 maybe a 6x4 trailer with a go kart on it ! might be underbraked for that even haha
