  1. I'm interested in the 7K. How much are you after?
  2. Put an advert in the wanted section
  3. PROS: really good brakes (with CPH upgrade at least) Sick cambers CONS: Farking heavy unsrung weight Steering arms are a slight hassle/niggle. Depends how picky you are No backing plates I don't think for the majority of people the large stub axle is too neccessary
  4. Why do you want XT130 struts? Depending what you're using the car for, what brakes you'd like, and how you want the steering, it might be easier to use AE86 struts. Because XT130's have a different offset steering arm, which can cause clearnance issues if you use 86 spec short steering arms.
  5. Ah, well its still uugglllly Just sayin
  6. Yes indeedy, and cover up the seals and windows too when you do it. I've set my car on fire many a time from welding, strangely satisfying though... :hmm: :laff: Also, not sure if you will find the same thing, but when I did it (not on a corolla) I ended up with a fairly large gap between door top and lip where gutter was. And the roof is sort of 'in' compared to the door looking down. So you might want to add steel to make it look right, if I'm making sense
  7. There are two common types of reg/bush sets, the type there (VL and many other gm etc), and the same as corolla. Not sure if they are interchangeable, but seems likely. Rather than chopping your wiring
  8. Hey does anyone have a spare KE70 alternator? EDIT: Never mind, 1 bart-tune custom fix bandaid solution applied :D
  9. 15's? What size tyres?
  10. I raise you this... yes its an old photo... :rolls:
  11. Ah cool bananas, I would agree that the park is more enthusiast orientated, keeps it kind of low key which is nice. Do you need entrant numbers?
  12. Wasn't it moved due to space issues Bruce? Sloth: OR ccg haha they had a couple of sprinters last year didnt they? Edit; Also I can fix that stripe problem if you like :lolcry: I has a spray can or 4, multi colour stripes mmmm
  13. Yes its been quiet in these parts lately. I'll be at the hillclimb for a bit next sunday so if anyone else is going see ya there :lolcry:
  14. You could stick it on the 4K manifold, but the 3K manifold might have been matched properly. Still, I'd give it a crack. don't lose hope! haha And yeah pretty sure webers don't have a solenoid thingy
  15. Gee that snuck up fast. I'll be there :lolcry:
  16. Looks like a wilwood conversion kit to me, the kits come with that spacer Interesting strut tube, looks like blown has made that up himself. Inverted monotube shock too by the look of it. Yum
  17. Personally I'd use single valve springs, you should still have plenty of spring pressure. But yeah 9000rpm is quite a lot haha. According to some K's reach a harmonic point at 8000. I do know someone that had a 3K that reved past 10,000 though I see what you're saying with the spring pushing on the cam, but with higher spring pressure comes more friction, on the cam/cam followers and cam bearings etc. Friction is power loss
  18. Hence why I said not ideal. The springs and shocks aren't matched hehe Yes its a bit bouncy Stock swaybars can be ok, at least then the inside wheel doesnt lift
  19. ^ Really? What shocks do you have greenmac? I have 8kg in my daily, driving reeeaaalll rough roads too. But the shocks are pretty 'soft', so its acceptable. Not ideal though
  20. I have something similar to what you're thinking. D tab welded on gear lever, hi tensile chain bolted through floor beside seat/tunnel Lock in 4th or reverse, presto! No I did not make this. Looks hilarious, but chain hides away under the seat when not in use. It Definately works
  21. Always prepare the weld properly. With sheet I leave a little gap (< 0.5mm) all around the patch. I find it helps with penetration whilst not getting it too hot and warping. Means you can do neater welds too. Make sure its not windy. Otherwise the gas is doing nothing and you'll get a crap weld Pre-heat the panel if you're fussy :blinks:
  22. 15x8 -4 superlites. 195/50 Need better photo :)
  23. RE001 195/50 are cheap. Like $140 each
  24. Sprinter and AE71 should be the same? My spares arent really passable :D sorry
  25. AHAHAHAHAHA :D
