  1. Yes I do quite a bit of night driving, and it can be really difficult to concentrate sometimes when there are really bright lights right on your bumper! What really shits me is the people who sit ~200m behind with their high beams on, like its not blinding me! arrgh Not to mention the all the people who have over powered lights on their jacked up 4wd's drives, because they live in 'the country'.
  2. And then have no shock travel? Commo shocks will keep cut springs in, up to about when the tyre is level with the guard (depending on rate, and same rolling diameter as stock). The only way sierra's work is if the car is ultra low, like 40mm rail height. Which will be shite Also, if you actually want it to handle, you could talk to Dave at AJPS, and get a proper set of springs and short boge shocks to suit
  3. Depends what you want mate. 5K will be cheaper to begin with, but I'd say go 7K if you really want power. Why? Because for relatively cheap you can buy a 7K with efi, and with a little fiddling fit it into your corolla. Its larger, easier to boost, newer with likely less km's.
  4. Yeah that could be a goer ^^ Cost me over 100 from memory, yep with the head off
  5. I had the same problem with 2 of those bolts. I got them fixed by a dude with a water jet machine thing (forget name :laff: ). And then helicoiled. Exy tho! Mission impossible to drill them out as the bolts are harder than the alloy, t'will be a prick
  6. After december I should be able to help out. Keen to have a squiz at this rotary still!
  7. What about pvc sheet? Plastic welding is pretty easy, but in saying that I think you will end up with a better result if you use fibreglass (with no cardboard :P )
  8. Chrome and poo brown are like meat pie and tomato sauce I'd put chrome on
  9. No probs dude Is the diff noise free? I call dibs! Also the exhaust would be good if you've still got it I can come help you pull it apart if you like too ta
  10. The front casing is different so you will need to swap the kingswood one for the corolla one, otherwise it wont fit the bracket on the K engine. Also not all old holdens have the reg unit on the back of the alternator, but I would assume yours does if its new.
  11. Second that, pics! What type of lancer? So did you get rego sorted seabiscuit? Also if you want to offload the red car/parts I/or a friend might be keen
  12. ^^ Bahahahah!! :lolcry: Is the email address any good? Can't remember where the thread is, but some guy strung along a scammer with fake goods (cardboard apple laptop haha). Down side was he ended up dissappearing... (the guy that scammed the scammer)
  13. Firstly how much offset is crazy offset? Depending on how you do it you can get an extra 20 - 30 mm from rolling/pull your guards. But depends if you want to keep that swage line thingy and roll it, or pull the lip out and stretch it. Bog will crack, and the arches will need repainting You'll most likely need to cut the front bit of the guard too, just in front of the wheel.
  14. A long magnetic stick works a treat
  15. I'd say yes. I havent fitted these exact sizes, but an 8inch 0 offset should fit with a slight roll. Depends a bit on tyres and lowness too Oh and obviously whether you use AE86/KE70 lcas and/or cambertops
  16. Lol you go through a few cars eh John :laff: Sounds like a good plan Sloth, still havent even seen your 86 in the flesh!
  17. What sort of susp setup are you looking to put into your hachi? Easily the biggest change I've made to my car is front coilovers, really improves the characteristics heaps! Turns in heaps better, lost that floaty feeling
  18. Yes, from what I've been reading people are using large cams (ie camtech 609 etc) but lobe separation isnt ideal? And a couple have gone for custom jobbies, but there isnt much info on those! So for a turbo application would you go for a smaller lsa?
  19. Hope you'll have it ready for Marques Moses! seabiscuit: When was that? looks like youre having a ball! Also werent you getting wheels for your beast? Seems like everyones had a go on ze skidpan. Might go myself one day :hmm:
  20. Seems most high power turbo K's use pretty big cams. True?
  21. Shhiiitt, camtech has added 5K cams to its list. Check out the 507 haha But anyway, 608 will have to do I suppose :laff: Seeing as its the biggest 3K/4K. Yup will sound kinda rotor like
  22. >30/70 :) would probably do it. Also, exhaust and intake can change the note ALOT. PS I have a camtech 621 (260 deg adv dur) in a 4K. Torquey but boring
  23. 5K = more power potential (1.5 vs 1.3L) 4K easy/cheap to replace if/when it goes bang So maybe build your turbo kit up on the 4K, get used to it, then swap to built 5K?
  24. You could use a flat washer between the spacer and rack, as well as locktite. This will give more friction area for the joint to rely on, making it less likely to come undone.
  25. hmm too bad I don't have space for the whole van, it looks pretty cool.
