Sounds like the ecu isnt getting power or the earth isnt decent. Only like 5 wires need to be hooked up when doing the conversion into KE70

I had 8 front and 6 rear in my ke70, wasnt that hard... but less would have been good. 6.2 - 7 front and 4.5 rear seems to be the go. Personally I don't think swaybars are really needed in the KE70/AE71 chassis, they are very oversteer prone anyway. Maybe have a look at an option that allows you to use a good shock? A lot will come down to your personal preference at the end of the day, not all people drive the same way.

AJPS was doing a front end bush package for KE70/AE86, obviously theres a few bits in the kit that you wouldnt need (rack bushes) but you could ask him about doing a kit for your car. Oh and I had a cusco strut brace in my old car, definately made a difference, at least with the coilovers.

I had one that I pulled from an AE71, looked to be a dealer option. Was austrailian made but I can't remember the brand.

If its cranking but theres no spark even after you changed the coil and ignitor then the ecu probably isnt getting power or dizzy rpm signal You should check if the injectors are pulsing, this will tell you if the ecu is on etc

Dude its one of the most popular cars on the planet, there is no shortage of parts for them. What model have you got? Twincams have the 4age and rear disks. Bigger brakes can be had off other models (ae92, sv21) Gearboxes are pretty much all interchangable (ie ae82, ae92, even 6 speeds from later models) You can get factory lsd boxes. Search, and ye shall learn (twincam.org, twincam.org.au also)

Back when I was on my L's I drove a 383 stroker. Never had any issues, although people seemed to stay out of my way :hmm: :P Was a bit dull when I went to a 1.5L econobox on my p's! Then I got a KE70, never really had rta/5-0 trouble with that either. I mean come on its just an old corolla. Got the odd look at the wide wheels though lol, and asked what was in it (just a lumpy cam mate... :fuzz: ) So technically most mods could be deemed illegal, but if you arent being a dick you don't get picked on anyway

Hillclimb was a success of sorts, I won a trophy yay! Came 2nd (out of 4 lol) in the 0-1600cc type1/2 (stock/basic mods), my best time was 57.70, which isnt that fast for the circuit but not too bad for the category I'm in. Mx5s usually do around 54 - 50, and the fast sprinter dudes are doings 50-49's (on semis). I had massive issues with the tyres, they are old and crusty haha so there was bugger all grip off the line and through the corners. Will get some new ones soon, still keen on re002 at the moment.

Yeah but could just have been air in the cooling system from having the rad out? 4k's naturally blow air out the oil cap lol

Hahaha yeah I like understeer king :yes: . Pretty happy with the quality of it, bit of a pain to trim to size and fit though. Probably the best way to put it on would have been with a water spray bottle to get all the bubbles out, I didnt do that haha

Hey Canberra guys, long time not action. I'm thinking even tho its a bit chilly at the mo, we should have a meet. The idea I have is (well actually I may have borrowed it from sloth :laff: ) meet at belco mall carpark 2nd level (the old one) and take some sweet as photos and just generally hang out. Pros; cool photos are cool, its easy, um... close to food, will be night time so everyone should be free So if people are keen reply here. Once a plan is in place I'll probably put a message on other forums to get a few numbers. Let us know whats a good day/time for it. Maybe thurs night? Friday/saturday would be too busy there
