  1. ^^^ turning a car onto its roof to remove the diff - was Me, a guy I know
  2. It'd be a combination of the camshaft and carby, the cam probably has a range from like 4 to 7500 rpm, and the standard carby has little useful adjustment, plus its just crap. I've had two stock 4k's with the stock carby, and they both do the same as yours; struggles a bit down low then fine (up to 6 anyway). Sidedrafts! 15deg might be 1 or 2 two much?
  3. Not sure, I imagine they would be the same as 4K. Why? Did your mate measure them as 43mm? Because 42mm is including bearing, or actual crankpin size if you like
  4. Too bad you didnt ask yesterday, I could have measured them. They is in the engine now :P Big end - 42mm
  5. I thought all 7a blocks were 3 rib?
  6. + =
  7. Seconded. Setting up that in such a small car, weight?/track/wheelbase would be quite a challenge. Would like to see some track footage of it
  8. According to the repair manual in front of me, pull off emblem on wheel, undo retaining nut, then take wheel off with steering wheel puller. No screws. IF you don't have a puller, leave the nut on a few threads, so you don't get a steering wheel to the face. Might take a few good whacks to get it off
  9. Yeah okay 6 is good :S
  10. Where are you moving to Chappo? What sorta exhaust is it? Whats it fit, extractors? mufflers? I need an exhaust, not really one that big lol But I'd pay you, maybe I'll have a look some time? Maybe we could adapt it to my KE70 haha Also, I've got some parts, do you need anything in particular?
  11. Kingswood eh? Rocking a six or a v8? Also, standard metallic brown is the best.
  12. Million k's? Wow, didn't know new holdens would make that Dunno what time, I said seven, but no-ones agreed / disagreed. What suits you Chappo? Yeah looks like Kings Av, on the round-y bit that goes to kingston Haven't looked into south coast nats before, but good thinking, me rikey. And your right, more the merrier
  13. I'll be there of course. Should have Grand Champion in the bag too. ;)
  14. As far as I know there is no provision on dellorto carbs for vac advance. Not sure if you can hook the line into the same vac line as brake booster line. This may give too much vacuum to the advance unit. It seems many people just go without vac advance after putting dellortoes on. Hope this helps a little
  15. I like the photo of the black ute, really works with the background. Pretty well guaranteed I'll be working on Aus day, so I wont be around for that. Mt Ainslie sounds good, fun little drive when its quiet Went down the Clyde the other day, can't wait for an opportunity to drive that. So maybe that could be an option later on, it would take most of the day. And Summernats! yew!
  16. Haha, not such a bad idea, I'll be hungry by the time I get there ;) Are we talkin braddon or dickson? Theres sfa space at either, except across from mickey d's at dicko. <
  17. It's likely to be a small cruise in these parts haha, but its always good fun. Did you have any ideas on what/where to cruise? Before february might be good, because everyones back at work or study by beginning of feb
  18. Hmm, Dickson meet up? Its close enough to braddon, could meet up at dicko college, or down near woolies maybe. 7ish for the meet up time?
  19. Looks hawt from the front, but the sides look a little.. messy. Good though
  20. haha nice, 120 in third for me, before i had a tach. Mine has a small vibration too. :locked: Shaun: A nicer carby/s with better adjustment might be a good investment
  21. Your carby has aids Or, could be timing. Mine goes past 6, doesnt like it though. Has HG leak too lol
  22. Spark plug gap: 0.8mm Contact Breaker gap: 0.45mm Dwell: 46deg Timing at idle: 8 deg btdc No offense, but people should reference things before posting stuff like this
  23. I like this :locked:
  24. Because I'm often doing things on those evenings. Maybe we should set a date, and everyone has to keep it free. As long as theres no previous commitments etc
