  1. the parentals Camira (yes omg!) has 430000 on the clock. Still runs last time I checked, but havent driven it for a while. Wins the award for most reliable Camira on the planet, only ever broke twice, both times the cam belt, both 20m from home!
  2. Yeah I'd go for the one with less dags, but really you should inspect both heads completely before chosing. If its not too difficult, you could take both to the guy and get him to pick one (maybe clean them up a bit first, ie partswahser/degreaser).
  3. I think Vince may have wanted a KE70 hydro pedalbox at some point. Not sure if he still does or if he wants one for his new project. Might be able to copy the AE71 hydro bit to earlier models anyway. Probably could mod a KE70 one to fit earlier models but not really worth it imo. So the KE30 one will fit yours Tom yeah? I don't think you want to bother with a KE70 one, just thought that might suit Vince. can't remember how much a port is, but I was talking to my engine guy about it. I should be swinging past there tomorrow so I'll try to remember to ask about it.
  4. ^ Yep. They both look ok corrosion wise
  5. Hydraulic pedal box for KE70 Seabiscuit? Because if you get a cable one we might be able to mod/copy it to the same as the AE71 pedal box I have here...
  6. Awesome, thanks Sam! Wow looks silly high from that angle, and jebus that passenger mirror looks ridiculous haha We should try for some group driving shots next time!
  7. Its amazing how good the paint looks on everyones cars in those photos! Good shots Sloth and Sammo Did any of your photos of us driving with lights on turn out Sammo?
  8. haha, we'll all just buy rollas though. And then take them to the mineshaft. Most air wins the day :P
  9. Yeah today was an awesome day guys, character and team building you might say. Even after having to stop multiple times due to this f@$%ing fuel issue I've got
  10. I'm pretty much ready. Car needs a clean though. And kinda needs a catch can, higher oil pressure + revs = oil into carby, LOL. Not cool
  11. Make sure the contact points terminal where the black wire from the coil goes to the back of the dizzy, isnt shorting against the copper coolant pipe that runs alongside the head. Should be a bit of rubber hose over the pipe here to stop shorting. My tacho was flicking like crazy because of the rubber melting, and therefore shorting through the pipe
  12. Washer that goes behind the crank pulley bolt is my guess
  13. I think the Cotter again would be good. Still keen for karting, coast trip (hopefully my car will be 'prepared'), south coast nats maybe. As for time, earlyish? like meet up at 10 or so
  14. Yeah your Corolla should go alright. Is it ported or anything fancy? http://speedhunters.com/archive/2010/01/10...idebody-fc.aspx Even convertable FC's look good http://speedhunters.com/archive/2009/04/30...-blasphemy.aspx Just ignore whats under the bonnet though
  15. What a mad dude. WGMG: can't get Solid Edge to install properly / can't get into the licence utility, FFFFFFFUUUUUUU
  16. 4age's came in newer (AE86 & FWD models) corollas and geo prisms over there if I recall correctly. Maybe some other models too? And many people have converted them to twin sidedraft carb, if you don't want fuel injection :hmm: The reason many people use this engine is that the AE71 model has a 4a series engine; the driveline parts and 4age can be easily transplanted into another E7 which has a different engine/driveline combo.
  17. I'd even say series 2 or 3, but they're getting a bit rusty these days. Ideally I myself would like an FC rx7, yum.
  18. I need the 2 long rear control arms off the diff, if you part it chester. Maybe some other bits too. Do you have a rear sunshade? Actually, whats the car like and how much?
  19. I like this idea. I think it was being looked into previously? Or I've been thinking, even just a thread, for random but easy/quick to answer auto questions. Like an offtopic chat thread thing.
  20. I vote weld in, for a stiffer cage and body. I'd pay special attention to tying all suspension mounting points together with the cage, then making sure the mid section has minimal flex. After that, think of actual crash protection, and working all these bits into each other for a safe, integral roll cage
  21. Yarp, sounds good, will keep the 7th free for fun times :) Where will the meet up be?
  22. 5K, easy. parts required: 5K, time 7K, quite a bit more difficult apparently. These have EFI and other different bits and pieces on them. Have a search on here, there is a few rides threads related to 7Ks Edit: slo 030 beats me to it
  23. Yeah has been done, the guy has some good photos of it. No cat. 2 inch would be ok.. Make new intake manifold I say, don't mdify the stock one Evan 4k carbys are gay, stay away from them
  24. Schweet! I'm jealous, I want a rotor. Stuff the 4K. Hope to see it in the flesh soon
