  1. Thanks Zowie. Yes those spats are cool, but it's not a '55 Chev Sedan, and I didn't want a full-arch spat. I just something neat that goes along with the body lines. :) We might test them on the Joely-rolla, to see how they look on a KE30 2-door, but I don't think they'll go on the Panelvan again. And the best bit was, it's all completely reversable. Josh
  2. Well, after having a good look at it in daylight and in different angles, we didn't like them, so have taken them off. It was just a little experiment that we thought we should put into practice, but after serious thinking, we took them off.
  3. We wanted them to run along the factory body lines so it looks almost like it was a optional extra. I'm trying to get together another thing for her, just need some monies to do it. :) Josh.
  4. Very Very Cool Chris. Love those Roof Racks and the Wheels. :) Josh
  5. So with it all fitted up and properly screwed on, we took Ollie down to the Car Wash, because she was looking very filthy from all the recent winds blowing dust into the garage. Any comments and feedback are welcomed. We think they look very cool. We may be attending this month's CC&D at Attwood Police Training Centre, so for those who are going, can see how's it done in person. :) Woz & Josh
  6. Not much to update, other than really enjoying driving this, snapping people's necks everywhere I go, and constantly getting comments like "Nice Datsun mate" and "When's the VN V6 going in it?". :D Although, recently we've been up to something that, again, no-one has really done before either. First was the press-fitted rear window, second was the hidden fuel-line (which mind-stuffed some Toyota Technicians at the TOCAU Brighton Toyota Event in June earlier this year), and now, this. We thought, lets add more to the current old-school grandpa look we have now, so Dad come up with these. For those who don't know, they're "Wheel Spats". We simply got the bonnet that was originally on this, got out the angle grinder, and cut out these spats. Then I bought some Primer, Dad got some "Galaxy Blue" from work, as well as some Clear, and painted them up. Dad then got some thin rubber from Clark Rubber, to sit between the Spat and the Wheel Arch, and then we bought some L-hooks, and Nuts and Screws from Bunnings, and fitted it all up.
  7. Mr. RA28GT got hold of it, and it's even more cleaner.
  8. Jessie, Do the manual conversion now, and register it as a manual, then drop in the 4K after it's rego'ed. :)
  9. Nice score, Ii better hurry up and get the joely rolla happinin, havnt seen too many 2 doors around and now there is two in sunbury well 3 if you want to count josh's panno
  10. Very very cool stuff Mitch. Can't wait to see vids of this setup on track. :y: Josh
  11. Go the Lowering Block! :D Would've loved to see the KE11 at CC&D, but the Green Datto is awesome enough. :) Josh
  12. Really really love this thing Matt. You've done a very awesome job of this one. :y: :y: :y: Josh
  13. Also check the brake caliper is operating propely, I know you said it spinning freely but might be differant when hot , i had this problem with joshs ke36 i changed his calipers to girlock and changed his rotors and put new bearings in . cheers woz
  14. This genuinely looks really awesome. The Best AE101 Sedan I've seen in my life. Very well done mate. :y: Josh
  15. Nah not yet just waitin for some good weather cheers Joel
  16. Update time: Just got the Joely-rolla goin'. It's got a strong 3k, good gearbox, and now a blown diff. For some reason it went bang when dad reversed fast in one spot !! So now another thing to add to the list of repairs -- FIX DIFF. We're lucky that I have a spare. :) Started first shot with a Full-Charged battery, and after 5 good revs, all the smoke and stale fuel were cleared, and now it starts and idles hassle-free. Win! Thats all for now. Woz & Joel.
  17. We have fitted the rear 1/4 window temporarily, just so if we have to leave it outside for any reason, we can just roll it out and not worry about weather getting into it. We then put some juice into it, and unblocked the fuel lines, and Josh happily donated his Cressida battery to try start it. It didn't start and it was dead after 5 cranks. So the battery is on charge, and tomorrow or sometime this week, we'll try and get it running. Joel.
  18. Cheers mate. as soon as a mig welder is aquired, progression of this project will commence. Joel.
  19. Well its time to update : We finnaly tracked down rust free sections to repair the arse end ! YAY now just gotta pick up a mig welder to fit them and then it will be full steem ahead Stay Tunned Cheers Joel
  20. I noticed that kit sitting on the back seat of Blue Thing today. Now it's time you start working on Gokai again. :) Josh
  21. Looks and sounds good man. :) Don't expect it to last long. I've tried it. :D Josh
  22. Leave the exhaust and diff as they are in my opinion. I reckon it's more fun have an open-wheel diff. All depends on how you are on the Clutch, and having the right momentary body-roll. And the exhaust, it'd have more performance now, than if you were to add to it. Sounds like good fun having a track and donut pad. All the best with it. :) Josh
  23. Spotted a few today on the Monash, outbound and inbound, to pick up some Bits for the Joely-Rolla. Going towards Cranbourne, saw an awesome Bamboo KE26 Wagon. All of us in the car turned our heads around to see it go the otherway. Then coming back, a Yellow KE30 Sedan similar to Matty's one. Josh
  24. I find it pretty funny and ironic that in the last pic, the Accelerator Pedal is right next to "GO!". It should be on the pedal, not next to it. :P Josh

    The Rat

Being flat black and ratty, maybe (and it's just an idea) stensil in white paint onto the Side Panels the Rollaclub Owners from when JiP got it to now. :)
