Spotted a Poo Brown KE70 Sedan in Glenroy around 1.30pm today. Also saw another Dark Blue KE70 Flat-Front Sedan on Somerton Rd on the Cragieburn Train Bridge going Campbellfield way. Elderly couple in it as well. :) All these KE70s..... Josh

I Love Sanding. :) This is looking Really Good. I'm really impressed by how well the Top Half of the Spare Wheel Well came up. You weren't really kidding when you said you were going to Re-Manufacter this to the way it came off the Production line, weren't ya? :) I can only Imagine what Poppa's KE10 is going to be like..... if Poppa ever gets to it. :hmm: Josh

Everytime I see a recent photo of this put up, the Word and the Expression "Wow!" just pops straight into my head. :y: Looking really awesome Ben. :) Josh

Just like many other's have said, I reckon just lock your diff, throw in a 5K or 7K, get those drift lessons, and practise on a track, that way you're not witnessed by residents of an area, and you're in the goods. I'm a 15 year old. I know what is a good corner to drift and what isn't. That was taught from my old man (Woz) -- who back in the day, drifted any corner he came across. He is now 41, and settled down, and now teaching me the do's and don't's of drifting, that way I'm not wrapping cars around poles when I'm start driving on my L's. But yeah, Locked Diff, 5K or 7K with slight work (maybe Weber and a Cam), and go from there. :) Josh

The Movie "Charlie and Boots" could kinda be inspiration to this trip. Shane Jacobson and Paul Hogan drive from Warnambool(?) to Cairns in a 202 HJ Holden. Altho I reckon, IMO, this would be a bit of a tough challenge for 30-40 year old 4cyl Corolla's. If this does happen, all the best to you boy's. :) Josh

Hahahaha. Thanks mate. I was thinking of cutting off the exhaust before the diff, but I'll keep the standard muffler there so I don't get pulled up by the Rozzers. :D Thanks mate. You're right, but this is a Corolla Panelvan, and I think the Wheels and the Blue Paint will turn heads, or snap necks -- as it is. :) ______________________ We went to the Aftermarket Collision Trade Show at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre yesterday, and we got a few ideas and plenty of Freebies. But yesterday, the biggest Freebie of all was, a One on One chat, a Photo, a Signed Poster, with both Victor and Ben Bray. And I was also personally handed a $500 Sidchrome Spanner Set from Victor Bray himself, FREE !!!!! The Photo wasn't clear, being on the spot from Dad's phone (Nokia N97 Mini), but it was awesome to meet, and talk to the Bray's. :) We also went happy snappin' on the VN and the KE55 we're wrecking out for eBay, and I snapped up this photo. Hey guys, Not much progress has happened since May 1. She is still under the back porch because Mum really loves her garage, and also time with Dad working, and being busy. Plans now are -- Finish putting together the Exterior, and leave it at that, and then Start working on the Smurf and get that on the road. I figured a Grandpa-Spec Car does not mix with a Loud Exhaust System, so the Stockies that are on The Smurf are staying on it, and the Sun-Visor I bought on my 14th B'day, is going on The Smurf as well. So now, I'm after a set of these wheels in 14x6" or 14x7", in 5-Spoke and 4x114.3 -- and Yes, they did do 5-Spoke 4-Stud Dragways. Josh

How Many Ke36/38 Corollas Are There In Victoria?
JJT036 replied to JJT036's topic in VIC / Melbourne
That makes it 5 then. *Actually, there's 6. There's a KE36 Wagon in the Wrecking Section on here from Victoria. -
Looks good mate. 4K and Auto for Towing FTW !! :y: Is there gonna be a 4AGE in this one, or are you leaving this just Dead Stock? Maybe an SC14? :) Josh

Woo! 5K and Toyoglide! This rocket should fly, Des. :D Any recent pics of this beauty? Would like to see some. :) Josh

Hahaha. I trust Troy. It was only an "IMO". :)
-
Hahaha. Thanks mate. :y: Just give us a yell when ya do. We're only 15-20 mins past Calder Park Raceway. :) Josh

Thanks Matt. :y: Exterior wise, we're yet to do: - Put on the Front Bumper and the "Rego Plate". - Fit a Windscreen and the Back Window (Getting Fitted Professionally). - Put on the Door Handles and Locks. - Bolt down the Sunroof. Josh
-
Looks really good Troy. The Visor should go back on now. :y: Can I ask what you used for the Back Floor? I really like how you've done the Back. :) Josh

Looks really cool Reed. :y: Just needs a Spirit Wing and Fender Mirrors now. :hmm: Josh

Didn't really do much today. Dad woke up early, and got some Daylight Photo's of Ollie. We also got her started and she is now under the Back Porch and Covered up. The reason is because Mum's VZ Berlina is getting a Major Service (Brakes, Shocks, Engine, Auto), and the Mechanic is going to come up here and do it all Tomorrow. Then later this week (Wednesday or Sat'day), Ollie will go back into the Garage, and we'll pick up work on it, hopefully. :) Pics in the Daylight: The Rego Plate really suits it. :P Woz & Josh

How Many Ke36/38 Corollas Are There In Victoria?
JJT036 replied to JJT036's topic in VIC / Melbourne
So the current count is now 4. Does this mean these are worth more money in Victoria? :D -
Cheers Pete. :y: It really does look good now, especially in the Daylight. I can't even get a Good enough Pic of the Pearls through the Blue. It's one of those Pearl Colours you have to see in Person to see the Pearls in it. :) If there's any other bits you need, just PM us. :) Josh

Really like the Sun Visor Ben. Looks cool. :y: The AE94 looks like an absolute rocket. All the best with it. ;) Josh
-
Thanks Reed. :y: There IS some Matte Black on this Car. We used it for the 1/4 Plastics, the Bonnet Stick, and some other little bits. Josh
-
Sorry Luke. Totally forgot about that. Will PM you tomorrow. :bash: During the time between this and the last post, Dad decided to make up a Rego Plate for this Beast. This is a Fake Rego Plate, and No, the real one won't have "The Burnout State" on it. :) Woz & Josh

Cheers Matty. That light in the Side Pic was the Camera's flash (which is a Canon Powershot A630). :) The Wheel Arches will be painted black again. We have a little plan of our own for the Interior, and it's gonna look real killer when that's done, but that's gonna be kept Secret. :D We might start on the Interior after the Exterior is all together, and after we replace the Welsh Plug right under where the Starter Motor is. :) Josh
