Thanks man. :) John, the interviewer, was particularly impressed with the engine swap, and the fact that we did the body and paintwork ourselves. :yes: I start on January 9th, and on the 16th. I'll be mainly meeting the crew, and looking around the workshop, and the routine of the shop. Then when school starts up for 2012, the VACC will allocate a day to work at Holden, and a day in the training school in Docklands. :) Josh :cool:

Well, not much progress has happened, except for one thing. I got Accepted into a Pre-Apprenticeship at Sunbury Holden through the VACC today. :dance: He looked through a display folder I put together, which had in it my resume, a reference from my work-experience employer, my semester 1 school report, and a bunch of photo's I put together of Ollie from day 1 to now, and after handing the display folder back to me, he said, "You're a good kid, your school marks are good, and I like what you and your dad have done to your project car. I want to put you on for an Apprenticeship at Sunbury Holden." I was over the moon. Couldn't have been happier. :dance: While I was in the interview room, dad was looking around the yard for Sportwagons, mainly SV6s. :) Josh :cool:

Did you put on the reciept: "The purchaser of this car MUST register to Rollaclub" ? It's sad that he's going to put a Chev Big Block in it. The thing must have been a rocket-ship as it was. :( The MR2 should be a fun little car to drive. :) Josh :cool:

Ahahaha. :lolcry: Very good points that I tell him all the time, but he still thinks his Civic is better in every way, even burnouts. :blinks: Ahahaha. :lolcry: I'm not saying there is something wrong with all of them, but this kid is Tasmanian. He'd know what a Real Car is. :blinks: However, all the Tasmanians on here who own a Corolla DO know what a Real Car is. :yes: He put his Civic in for a Roadworthy on Wednesday, and failed it. But he said that my Panelvan couldn't do any better. The things he failed on, I'd pass with flying colours. Things like the Windscreen, Steering Wheel, Front Brakes, and other things I've forgotten (maybe the whole thing :lol: ), and it's still being fixed. Me, and another friend who also bags out Corolla's, have agreed that his Civic will die on him within the next 12 months, and that a RWD Corolla is a much better car than a FWD Civic Hatchback. Ahahaha. :lolcry: The kid who keeps saying this to me does actually own a Honda Civic, and it's a Hatchback. I keep saying to him, "One day, you're going to look back on yourself, and think you have bought the wrong first car". But he still reckons in any way, shape or form, that a Civic is Cooler than a Corolla, and that Panelvan's aren't cool at all. :blinks: Josh :cool:

Secondary school is the worst. Being Year 10, I cop it everyday. I get things like "Send it to sims", "My Civic is faster and cooler", and "Get a real car". But of course, these guys spend their afternoons, nights, and weekends, and pull all-nighters on Computers, so they'd know what a real car is. :blinks: Josh :cool:

Thanks man. Edited your post for ya. ;) We're halfway done on the Back Window/Panel Cards, just gotta do the other lot of cards, and we should be done. Got a phone call from the VACC for an Interview at Sunbury Holden for a Pre-Apprenticeship through VCAL. The Interview at Sunbury Holden on November 15th at 11am. :) For those who might not know what it is, VCAL is 3 or 4 days a week at school (Sunbury College) all the way to Year 12, doing 4 subjects (English, Maths, IT, and Music), 1 day a week at the Training School in Docklands, and 1 day a week in a Workshop. :D Dad thinks that when I'm a qualified mechanic, I will fix his cars for him. :lolcry: Although I will, as a Big Thanks for his help in this Project. :) Josh :cool:

I haven't really had any problems with advertising on here, except for a few warnings from the mods about topic location. If people read the rules, advertising wouldn't be the problem.
