an aftermarket ecu lets you change your fuel injection cycles and air fuel maps. most factory tuned ecus are very 'softly' done as to not damage the engine. with more agressive tuning you can get a fair bit more power out of a standard engine, but at a heavily incresed risk of catastrophic failure. ie, with a decent exhaust, intake and ecu map i could add almost 45% more power to the liberty. the engine however will need a rebuild in 3 months... mmm

ive heard people say haltecs run toyotas nicely. no proof to back that up tho. lol cheers.

the svx was funny as. the AWD system only worked when you had the windscreen wipers on. good thing they took that 'feature' out otherwise all us boxer boys would have worn out wiper motors. :kiwi:

we did one of these at lakeside a while back and it was a great day. i can't recomend it enough for 'new' drivers as it gives you a chance to push yourself and your car beyond your limits in a safe environment. its always good to know how hard you can turn in before the car turns to much hehe. cheers.
