What model hilux diff. You really wanna be using something from a rn10-rn13, otherwise you ll have to have it shortned. If you do get one a suggest Aussie diffs at currimbin for have the spring platforms etc welded on and get them to do disc brake conversion while its there. how much are you planning on spending to do ur conversion. I would work out a plan of attack of what you are going to do and what power you are after before you start otherwise you will end up doing things more then once. I would be buying a new yoke and uni's from a tail shaft shop. My car broke the standard Ca18det yoke so i had to upgrade to a after market type one which meant a nother new tailshaft. Depending on what power you are chasing i would be talking to the shop and seeing what your options are. I know my 2nd one will handle 450hp+ which is good piece of mind as the 1st one let go at 300hp

i m in qld pod filter is fine exposed just needs to be secure and not flapping around for the transport boys. I use a patrol master with a adaptor bracket. It is a 1' master.

That gunky stuff is a sika sealant it alwas stays soft i think they use kero from memory to remove it champ

I use a standard Ke35 one with a three row core installed and thermo switch in the bottom tank for my fan. Also had the outlets changed. Never been hot at all cost $350 at the radiator shop

I hate the chrome trim i brought a plain black rubber locking strip that pushes in think it was like $3 a metre. Looks better i believe. I got my rubbers from rare spares. Took a little bit of working as the front rubber wasn t 100% perfect

I have the hopper stopper twin piston kit on my car the only problem i found is that the front shocks and springs need t be changed to suit the extra unsprung weight. They do work pretty good not quite as i expect but i think the length of the push rod(? the part that push on the piston of the master cyl) needs to made longer.

Also did the hopper stopper conversion with 295mm rotors and twin piston PBR sports cailpers. Pretty good setup very happy though they are heavy and add extra unsprung weight. a ford nine inch would be overkill and you wouldn t fit it without cutting the floor up. Go hilux if you want something strong. I would avoid the b/warner as the LSD'S are shit for them. Search some off the topics i have written as i have been over alot of the stuff you are askin many times before. U could always buy my rolla and save yourself 20k everything has been replaced in it from bumper to bumper

you will need to allign the clutch. You really need someone to show u so u understand what it means. You can hire a clutch alligner or use a old input shaft and can hire torque wrenches as well. The white tape idea works really well i would do this for sure. Just wondering why you don't just drive the new car with the old motor though?

runs pretty rich to start with but nice power either way. must be your turbo (maybe) but pretty steep power curve. Make for some fun third geareys

I would be suprised if you can find a qld engineer to blue plate this i would find at least two people that will before and before you start and have some serious decussions with both first, The reason for two is incase one closes up shop leaving you high and dry
