  3. Yup the pedal box was a bitch as I just converted it to Manual weekend just gone that was the hardest part swaping boxes was a easy job compared to ripping the whole dash out. Is there any one on Here with a rx ke70 lol?
  4. Yeah diff is last on the list it will be a hilux diff cheers any ways.
  5. just brought me a ke70 recently and prety keen to drop a 12a in it, factory re in w.a has built a few rx ke70s, but I'm not keen on foking out shit loads of cash as I'm a apprentice and money doesnt grow on trees and i have acses to a mates work shop to do most of the work my self, but I'm after some advice from people who have ke70s with rotarys in it, realy want to know all the problems you came across during the conversion and a rough idea on the fabrication cost as far as I'm aware i will need to grab these parts from a 1st gen rx7: *12a engine (plus all the parts on it, alternator etc..) plus mounts *gearbox, clutch and slave cylinder plus mounts *radiator *oil cooler *drive shaft *hydralic pedal box out of a ae71?
  6. Ok I need some help guys I've got a ke70 which is standard at the mo but with in the next few weeks it's going to get some work done to it, some 4:2:1 xtractors and a 2" xshaust my next mod is a cam I've been doing a bit of reading and sent a few emails, wade cam reackon there 104 profile and I'm left with the 104 and 112 profile from tighe cam, I had a 2t with a grinded cam in it its power band would start around the 3500-3800rpm range and would pull hard till about the 7000rpm range which I realy liked and it had a nice lumpy idel which is realy what I'm after, so basicly out if the three which is going to be similar to my 2t cam as I realy liked it and wouldn't mind the same thing in the 4k. May sound like a dumb question but I'm a rotary guy so this cam shit is new to me and I was lucky enough that my daily 2t came with the cam so I knew nothing about it, please help guys as I want to order a cam asap
  7. 12a or a 13b bridgie for sure bro, had a 12a bridgie in my starlet and cause these cars are so light there so much fun!!!!
  8. Yeah it's a great little car to start off with and it's something different to what I'm use to, as I use to have two kp starlets back in n.z.
  9. Cheers guys. As for the wheels... Meh I like them I gues every one has there own taste, few updates.... Manual box goes in this Thursday set of 4:2:1 extractors coming in the next two weeks (cheers Teddy), and some low king springs in the next two weeks.
  10. Ok here goes since my last update alot has changed....now being a kiwi i thought i better do what kiwis do best....slap a rotary in it!!!! ive been busy collecting parts for my conversion but since I'm only a apprentice money is tight and things are moving VERY slowly, so far ive got a rx4 13b (biggest ports from factory) block in pieces which ive cleaned up and will be sending to rotomotion to get bridge ported in the next few weeks when there done I'm going to rebuild it my self. Now ive still got a few things left to buy: * A radiator (hopefuly pick one up next week) * A Gearbox * Fuel setup (got one lined up for next week) * Rebuild kit When its ready to go ill be leaving it in the hands of White_sandshoe aka Garnett (frickin legend!), so hopefuly if things go to plan should have it ready early next year which isnt to far away realy. My plan for it is to turn it into a 'fully sick drift slut' like every other ke70 owner...NOT!!!! Nah just plan for it to be a thirsty daily driver lol
