  1. Fully finished with 20-1/2" shifter position was $900 + Gst, I paid for shipping from Sydney. Shipping cost $50.00 on Toll Tasmania sea freight.
  2. I had to help stop the dams collapsing at the inlaws on Friday so that stopped me from working on the rolla. The good news is the exhaust manifold is finished. Will post pics when I take them.
  3. Just a quick update: Finished all the fabrication work on my dash and now need to get it painted. This should be done in the next couple of weeks, looks sweet. I will post pics as soon as it is painted and back together. Got a RDO on friday and will be working on the old girl, I will try to remember to take pics of the gearbox mounts to post. With any luck the exhaust manifold will be close to finished as well, if so I will post pics. Fingers crossed I have more pics to post this weekend.
  4. All you need to do is get a 2S or 2C bellhousing. This will couple directly to the 3sgte motor and the Dellow supra box. Trust me as Dellow is where I purchased my supra box. If you ring rolla spares or toyrolla they should have a bellhousing on the shelf. I got my bellhousing from Rolin Auto in QLD. They were all around the same price.
  5. There was no modification to the tunnel at all, had the mounts made. I do plan on posting pics of these but will not get a chance to work on her till my RDO next week. Plan on pulling down the commodore diff I have for it to get it shortened and giving it a good clean for painting. I will hopefully be grinding back all the welds on the turbo manifold as well next week. Then onto manifold.
  6. There is another bolt underneith that engine mount you can not see from that pic, there can be another bolt add to the top right corner of the mount you can see. The engine needs to come out again so I migh consider doing something with it. Thought about moving the engine back but would need a lot more mods. I want it to keep it as simple as possible for costs and if I decide to put back to original condition. It would need an absolute flogging to flex or crack that thickness plate. Its decieving from the pic but its prob 10-12mm thick, the department of infrastructure said they were fine.
  7. Here there is a pic of the crank angle sensor, in car shot of where the gearbox sits and of the drivers side engine mount. It is a poor pic of where the gearbox sits in the car as there were thermo fans, intercooler mufflers and all sorts of shit in the car so I could not ake a good shot. I will and post it once I get some time next week. I will also get a pic of the passanger side but in the above pis you can see the turbo and yurbo manifold are in the way of a good shot. I have also learnt how to shrink the pic size so as i take more pics more will get posted.
  8. As promised a pic of the turbo manifold. It is only the rough look to see how thing would fit. Now needs to be welded correctly.
  9. Off the sheld from Australian Clutch (formely Adelaide Clutch). On the Gen 2 motor the stock standard flywheels is suitable. I opted for the chrome moly as it was lighter and looked better (not taht you see it). You do however with the chrome moly flywheel need to move your starter motor in about an inch as it has a slightly smaller O.D than standard flywheel. This was also a good thing as it gives more room for my turbo, turbo manifold and exhaust.
  10. From southern Tassie. I will post a pic of the turbo manifold as soon as i get a chance, took the pic today. Also got a pic of the driver side engine mount to post. I will take a pic of the passanger side but the turbo and manifold were in the way when I was taking pics today.
  11. Gen 2 W55 supra 5 speed (would have loved a W58, would not like the price though) 2S bellhousing 2S slave cylinder mitsubishi ???? clutch master cylinder chrome molly flywheel and heavy duty organic clutch standard starter motor standard radiator but brand spanking new 500mm x 300mm x 76mm intercooler Lots more to come and hopefully sooner rather than later.
  12. Your 55 does look sweet. I have a bit of de javu.
  13. The engine sitting in the old girl. It was poor weather today in Tasmania so I could not get any good pics of the mounts but will post better pics soon. In the middle of the valve cover in the middle is a crank angle sensor the engineer knocked up for me. Don't worry it doesn't stay there. I'm going to be running S15 SR20DET coils. Should look sweet. Still no progress with the dash but I just got a CD player for it so I can fit it and get the rest of the dash sprayed.
  14. More of the same.
  15. These next pics are of the engine and gearbox as I played with them.
  16. I have posted most of these pics before but Its been a long time since any work has gone on but finally some progress. These first 3 pics are what the car looked like when I purchased it
  17. [attachm ent=37343:0307091311_00.jpg]Here are a few pics of the engine. One is of the engine cover, I pulled it off to give it a run over on a wire wheel, the next step is painting it. One is of the good old CT26 turbo, I have taken off all the brackets, oil lines and water cooling. I'm relocating the wastgate actuator so that when you look in the engine bay you can't see it. You will however see a couple of the hoses due to the turbo's design. The watercooling for this turbo will be upgraded, the standar flow is in and out the same inlet / outlet. It will now flow through one side of the core and out the other (much more efficent. The final photo is of one side of the bare engine. As this engine sits on a slant we have it probbet inbetween 2 planks of the top pallet with the bottom pallet taking the load. This particular gen 2 engine has the block drilled and tapped on both sides to accomidate engine mounts from factory to be used in a RWD config. Not many nodels did, I'm very lucky as it is another thing that has gone my and I will not have to spend money on fabrication (bore and tapping). Sorry bout the poor quality pics, I they were taken on my mobile and I was a bit hung over.
  18. I got told you need the 2 blinker lights (green), the high beam light (blue), alternator light (amber) and an oil pressure light (red). I don't know if you do "need" all of them but they can't hurt.
  19. I found a pic of the old girl after the engine and box were taken out. There is also a couple of pics of the dash so far.
  20. I'm going to the engineers tomorrow, he has taken the engine and box out and wants to do things a little different to our initial plan. The standard turbo is not ideal for a RWD application but ass it is in perfect condition there is no need to buy another more suitable turbo. I will see what he has in store and over the weekend try to post more pics.
  21. I do not think I am gods gift to rollaclub. I work full time and study part time so I don't have a lot time on my hands. As I said there will be lots of photo's and lots of info on the conversion as soon as I get a chance to get to the engineers and see where they are at with the work being carried out. They are doing this as a favour so they only do bits at a time. I will do my best to kee pyou informed. Sorry for sounding like a dick as this is not my intention.
  22. I've had the car for approx 3 years now. My wife said I could start work on it, she never stipulated a price. Truth be told I'm scared of what she would say if she ever found out how much I intend to spend. It's a lot more than I ever told her I would. If anyone knows an easy way to shrink photo to a size suitable for these post's I will post more pics. I'll try to get to the engineers tomorrow for more pics. They are looking to do the bulk of the work over the Easter holidays. Well thats the plan, these things never seem to go as planned. I still have approx 18 months to finish this project according to the department of infrastructure. I had not purchased a single item at the time I requested the conversion for approval so the gave me the same conditions as an individually constructured vehicle.
  23. Hobart, Trust me, this is happening and if you are in Hobart and know the industry I'm in you know about this car. Its been in planing for years and is starting to come together, finally. I have just taken more pics but its 10:45 PM and my wife is asleep. I will work out how to make them small enough for this site then post them.
  24. I may have just posted this today but there is no reason to be a total ass. This is the car upon purchase. Over this long weekend here in sunny Tasmania Australia I will try to post current pics. I will do my best. Stay tuned as there will be more.
