  1. funny you should say that trev, i have been approached with a business opportunity and need to free up some cash to get it off the ground. So i have actually decided to sell it as it turns out that I'm pretty shit at pimping myself out on the street... if you know of anyone that might be interested, drop me a line.
  2. looks awesome champ, glad to see another sr getting around.
  3. as they said when i took it in, 'its only steel'. i went back in the second day for a look and it was already straight. absolute masters. full respary will be finished today, buffed and back together and drive it home on friday morning.
  4. whole car is being repainted today buffed and new stickers tomorrow and then rear bumper which has been re-chrommed back on and pick up on friday. can't wait. Oz Rods & Restorations (07) 3805 7155 60/ 62 Nestor Drv Meadowbrook QLD 4131 the specialize in ground up builds on hot rods. so its funny seeing my 20 in a shed full of old chevy's and hot rods. They also bought a complete car to get a boot lid as that was the only part on mine that was to gone to fix. and i scored it as well so will have a few more overrated bumpers and other parts if anyone is looking . . . . .
  5. ok as some of you may know i ran into a small spot of bother a few weeks back in the form of a traffic accident, i was devostated to find out that they were planing on writting the car off. After asking a few questions it turned out this was only because parts could not be found. i then pulled the car our of that shop and had it towed to Oz Rods at meadowbrook. I went down on Saturday morning before work for a look at it and can not believe it was the same car i took in. 100% straight. The only thing i told them was under no circumstances did i want the car cut up. good news is i will have it back and on the road friday morning. sooo happy and can not speak highly enough of the work that graham and the boys have done. stay tuned for more updates.
  6. 100% legal. mine is all blue plated and everyone is happy. thats the thing, legally i couldnt put a 12a carby motor in, but can put a turbod sr20. go figure . . . .
  7. Cheers mate. I went the hilux option purely for the strength it offers. I also now have skyline brakes set upon the rear aswell. Fitting the sr in was kkinda easy if u are skilled with a fbh, a f$&kin big hammer. We fabricated custom engine mounts using s6 rx7 ones as I had some left from my last car. We didn't find it too hard but we were in a fully stocked and decked out performance workshop. It could be done at home but u would need more paients then I have. More then happy to offer any help I can along the way if u get stuck, just give me a holla. Cheers b.
  8. Here is a quick video i threw together on the build process. Let me know what you think.
  9. we ran out of time so i was only entered in the show and shine, but drove to the track and home again, mass highlight after 5 years off the road.
  10. Just some pics from jamboree. had a blast driving out there and back, feels sooo good on the street, can't wait to turn the power up.
  11. Not handy. once i finish cleaning/tidying the wiring under the dash i will grab some pics. drove my rocket home last night for the first time in 4.5 years. feels great to be behind the wheel again. didnt realize just how much attention it would draw on the street. every second car last night and this morning would speed up to get beside me then drop back and speed up again. got a total of 23 'thumbs ups' on the way in this morning which is heaps better then my normal 2-3 fingers. hahaha starting to get use to driving it now and am slowly getting more brave with the accelerator. Keep n eye out for it on the roads. . . . .
  12. all stickered up and ready for jambo . . .
  13. The corolla now has a run in tune in it. it went 179.8hp on 7psi last night. can't wait to hit the streets this weekend . . . . .
  14. My rolla went for its first drive last night with the new setup. we still have no windscreen or brakes, so it was only a slow drive, but a drive none the less. hopefully finish the brakes off tonight windscreen in on the weekend then tiding up before jamboree. we got to a top speed of 6km/h in 3rd before the night air became far too cold to deal with even with jackets and beanies. so once the windscreen in is we might be able to push for some higher speeds. the clutch setup ended up working perfectly after a fair bit of stuffing around. Did a hydraulic conversion using a series 6 rx7 clutch master cylinder mounted on a custom contraption on top of the clutch pedal , a sr20 slave cylinder sleaved down 2 sizes, a remote resivour mounted up under the dash and a custom push rod. i do have notes on this entire conversion if anyone needs help with a similar job. will try and post some pics, videos when everything is cleaned up. cheers b.
  15. brakes and clutch get finished off on friday, maybe first drive on saturday? ? ? ? then rush to finish everything off before jamboree not racing at this stage, but will definitely be cruizing around looking pretty, sif I'm going to walk to the toilets this year . . . . .
  16. that is the plan after all of these years.
  17. just an update - car is now running and is on track to be at jamboree this year.
  18. not sure the differences with a 30, but have just put one into my 20. drop me a line some time, can walk you through it.
  19. I'm looking at a set of 15" x 7" superlites with a +24mm offset. PCD is 4 x 110 so there is no drama there. just wanting to know about the offset. will these fit my ke20 before i go out and spend the cash? any help muchly appreciated. b.
  20. As stated above, We are looking at expanding the family and currently looking for someone to start as our new apprentice. The successful applicant must be hard working, enthusiastic, motivated, be a team player, punctual, honest, wanting to learn from the best, and most of all have a love for rotary and other high performance cars as the successful applicant will have the chance to work with some of the country’s quickest drag cars. A drivers licence (provisional ok) would be preferred, however exceptions could be made for the right person. We are looking for someone to start straight away. Experience is not essential but enthusiasm is. Applications are to be submitted either in person or via mail to myself at Mazfix Performance, 48 Smallwood Street, Underwood, QLD 4119. Thank You Brock Flanagan Operations Manager Mazfix Performance 07 3341 1111 www.mazfix.com.au
  21. WILL TRY AND GET SOME INTERIOR PICS TODAY.
  22. UPDATE TIME Boot install is not 100% complete, all the interior is done except for the last section of carpet from the front of the seats to up under the dash, Microtech & X4 Box are mounted and all wired except for the power feed, and crank angle sensor, most of the gauges are now wired bar the eboost2 and the warning lights. headunit is now mounted and wired, seats and harnesses are in for good, so it is really starting to look quite killer. all going well will have it starting off the key before the end of next weekend. starting to get very excited.
  23. it does have a screen, just easier to work on the dash with it out, little bit more airflow. lol
  24. car of the year nomination for rollaclub is the short term goal, already have a shoot for fast fours lined up as soon as i am happy with it, then who knows, when it is 100% finished, maybe a trip to summer nats or start back on the show scene again.
  25. really? I'm just trying to work my arse off to get it on the road before christmas to hopefully qualify for a car of the year nomination. at this stage i am looking good. so fingers crossed.
