a surf is shit unless its the 3lt turbo they have over heating problems big time as well also they have every thing a little different to the 4 runner so they cost more to fix i.e to do the clutch in mine i had to get a hilux flywheel cost me 1400 to do the clutch when i had mine there an import but still i miss my surf so much

or get a mac and run snow leopard the best OS ever xp is still the best windows but if you sign up to mircosoft tec net you get a few copies of it and heaps of other stuff.

i would just drive it around a bit more with it un blocked see if it still misses. give it a service i.e make sure you change oil. the oil is gonna be shagged
