  1. Yeah I have a pedal box, master and slave setup from a converted Ae71 With lines and stuff! Also have a Ke20 manual pedal box to convert to hydro! Thanks Taz! UPDATE! Went shopping today and got a cheap gas and gasless MIG and some hole saws! HAHAHA! Don't worry, I don't like Swiss cheese! Thanks Guys!
  2. Sweet! Thanks for that info! Didn't know anything about that type of setup. I probably should have asked more questions. I'm sure lots of people will find that useful! Thanks Taz Rx! :jamie:
  3. I have no idea! I just got it complete and seen it working in another car! It doesn't look weird? Ill try and find out.
  4. So is there a better medium to use then to stop that type of thing happening? I don't want to risk it, especially when I plan to keep the car forever and hopefully never do the body again! Any help on this is gratefully appreciated! Thanks! Might have to research what i have been told.......
  5. HI Everyone! Picked up my new motor and gear box! Got a K motor and an early W series box. Test fitted and it seems to fit OK with the 3k mount on the motor. Problem is the box hits the tunnel a bit so be onto that tomorrow, otherwise seems to line up. Might get away with using the Toyoglide mount for the box? The guy reckons its got some head work done but I don't know, looks a bit bigger than the 3k but yeah. Gotta play with the A/C brackets to try mount the S/C soon too. Big week ahead, have the week off to play round and strip the old girl down till just the rolling shell left. Going to get the engine bay soda blasted, don't have the room, compressor, patience or the knowledge for doing that sorta detail the way i was doing it! Ill post during the week to see what else i find...... Bloody rust and dodgy repairs! Thanks everyone!
  6. + 1 for the Corona! Thanks Teddy for mentioning half of the stuff I did in mine! My one was epic! And I fed it its own A$$ EVERY day I had it! Awesome first car because of price, parts and care factor Zero! Will take a way bigger motor as well! Don't expect it to handle that well though especially if you weld the diff! Learn to drive real quick if you do!
  7. Hi again! Finally got myself an engine crane, Fold up one, good when you have no space at all! :D Got the motor and box out in one piece. Anyone have an idea on how much I should sell it for? :( Helps having the radiator support out so much easier than some other cars. Now need to get all the engine bay clear and make a start on that soon. Now the search is on for the rest of the conversion stuff! :hmm: What do those 17mm nuts and the washers on the engine mounts do? :laff: You need to find new ones Teddy, Ill need mine back soon! :D Thanks for looking people!
  8. Yeah that was the plan originally....I know what your saying. But yeah just a bit impatient and Over enthused :hmm: Just want it all done! Thanks for your thoughts Always appreciated!
  9. Hi All! Got a few things done today! Got sick of panel work so gone mechanical. :blinks: Removed all the wiring loom in one piece! Exhaust and tail shaft out. Radiator and support panel out. Motor and box are ready to remove. :hmm: Just waiting on getting an engine crane and then I'll be getting the brake lines and steering out to go over the engine bay and clean it all up. All the old bits will be sold in the next few weeks, will only need a few of the original bits to go back in. Finally decided to do the right thing and go for full engine management. :blinks: On the look out for K E.F.I. loom and manifolds. Thanks for looking!
  10. Nice work mate! Going Well! I will have to try those repair panels, Way better than trying to make your own. Does any one do those rear lower quarter sections? Going for paint any time soon? Keep up the good work!
  11. Yeah! As Doogs said wire wheel! :jamie: I went and got some small ones that go on your power drill as well, work well in all the tightest spaces and seams! :jamie: Its great fun! Just make sure you wear safety gear! I had all sorts of stuff go around my safety glasses so I wouldn't try without them! Good Luck!
  12. G'Day Mate's! No real progress yet! Busy as usual, (and lazy). ;) I've just getting parts and helping out other people. Now have a Charger, A/C brackets some pulleys and adjusters, R.R.F.P.R. and electric fuel pump thanks to Felix. That thing ways a tonne! Needs R+D though! Sounds fun! :blinks: Looking closer to getting a motor and box, but still in progress on that one. Have been doing a lot of research as well. My Brain is hurting! No I am not going to boost the 3k either it needs a new home along with the Toyoglide. Was thinking something a little Bigger! :blinks: On another note does any one know a good panel/rust repairer in north Brisbane area. I have decided not to go the rust/ panels myself. Thanks for looking People!
  13. Hi people! Had a few hours free today. Got a little bit of work done. Nothing special just had a crack at the passenger door aperture and cleaned a bit of in front of the windscreen and down the side. Found more rust as expected! Didn't get as much as I would like done........ Stupid dog! :) Will attempt more this week. Need to get the silly dog removed for a couple of hours. Haven't got a welder yet, Still shopping around. Thanks for your Comments everyone! :laff:
  14. Thanks for the offer but Ill NEED the bigger version for what I have planned! Ill still give you a hand though. Ill need some turbo related bits for mine now..........HAHHAA ;) I know a bit but ill see what we can figure out. Thank you! I really need motivation, I only planned to do this over 3 months or so but you know the story, I think everyone on here has done it and spent way too much time on there cars! I am going to be dropping some of my plans to get it back on the road sooner. Got to have some life outside of work and playing with cars. Still it will turn some heads and scare commonhore drivers!
  15. Nice one! It drives nice as it is but yeah that will make her move. Should go a little better with that setup. :blinks: Charger FTW! I think I might get me one of these... :blinks: HAHAHAHA
  16. Hi Everyone! I have spent most of today doing all the fine work in the rear end. Got all the paint out of all the small grooves and have every thing back to bare metal and etch primed. :blinks: I still am yet to get the rust removed but all rust has been treated. Cleaned out both gutters and got most of the paint out of them. :lolcry: Tried to straighten the rear under bumper panel did OK but still is a bit bent. May get replaced any way so Ill see what happens. I will probably not do anything tomorrow except the primer in the gutters, early start to go to QR. Might do the doors and bonnet and boot by next W/E, Ill see how i go for motivation! :blinks: Thanks for looking!
  17. Ah yeah didnt do anything on the weekend.... Very hungover  Spent a few hours this week playing around on the rear end. Got some parts for it too, Manual pedal box and flares, Thanks Chief! Just a few random pics for you. Probably going to spend this Weekend doing a fair bit if all goes to plan. Going out to QR Sunday for some "inspiration" Thanks for looking everyone!
  18. How did you go getting the box out? Did my ideas help much? Input shaft seal?
  19. Sorry for the latency of the reply! I was thinking of a an original colour but with a modern twist. As i don't want it to stand out like "dogs balls" so to speak i was thinking maybe a genuine period toyota white with a green pearl over it so maybe a peppermint sorta colour...... Will look grandma spec but with subtle mods to give an idea of what lies beneath! HAHAAHAHAAA! :D And NO Doogs Schmackos don't work!!! HAHAAHAHHA! The dogs a blind, diabetic huski that is over sensitive to any changes in his enviroment!! Could also be slightly retarded if dogs can be so... Any one in brissy got a rotisserie i could borrow, hire or buy?? (For the car) :( Will be spending most of sunday with the car and removing more paint and cancer!
  20. Yeah might take a little longer..... Have an issue with a dog that goes F%&king bonkers when you try and use a compressor or a sanding block! But some how he was sleeping near me using a grinder for like an hour? WTF? Going to go shopping for a new compressor and MIG soon just gotta sort a few thing out first.
  21. Yes Teddy, its gone, were both going to miss it! Stop rubbing it in! Cass will never forget it! Small amount of progress! Just etch primed the roof. Started it and still running fine. :blinks: Too bad the motor and box are going though. Any Takers? :( Thanks for looking!
  22. Wow! didn't know that! Awesome bit of info! :hmm: I was slightly disappointed when I found that! Thanks for the comments!
  23. Finally got around to giving the paint stripper a go! Have been lazy this week. Have a few pics of the progress. So much faster and easier to strip the paint first! Also found that the car has definitely had a new roof at some stage. :hmm: You can see in the photo that the steel changes colour and consistency? All the pillars have the same colour change both sides A and C. :hmm: Thanks for looking!
  24. Thanks for the advice "Doogs" I'll give that a go today! I'm getting sick of little progress for time spent! Thanks again for your help!
  25. Few hours spent today playing round, only got a bit of paint off and found a few dodge repairs! Is there a faster way of getting paint off or what? :) Hope to have better compressor and M.I.G. next week if I can find a decent price on both! Tried to use GF's old mans compressor today! What a F*%CKEN FAIL! Could not even drive a 6" orbital sander........HMM shitty old compressors going to the dump! HAHAHAHA!
