Yeah I suppose was just seeing peoples opinions though on what they thought looked better. Wasn't asking people to tell me to do what they like coz I've got the final decision.
Yeah but if I was to do pin stripping and put the rubber strip back on I would take it somewhere to get done properly as mine may end up abit crooked LOL.
Hi guys Was looking for opinions as I'm stuck on what to do on this. Just had my e70 resprayed and the original plan was to chuck back on original pin striping and the side rubber strip to keep it abit more original as I went original aa/h2 peak white paint. But now indecisive so please pass forward your opinions to make me hurry up and decide.
If it helps I'm also running superlights black with the chrome/polish outer lip and dish.
Ok so now I'm taking the foam off coz I don't want my fresh paint rusting. Black silicone and pack it on sounds good, or I do have sikaflex but that stuff is the wow factor!
Agreed just finished rubbing my 70 back and getting all the dents out. Rubbed it back 5 times to make sure the body was straight, don't think I'll be doing that any time soon.
You can fit 33 or 32 brakes and calipers which is a massive upgrade but then you have to re-drill the rotors. Brake line should be the same size and fit straight onto it but you will have to mount (cable tie) the hose connector in the middle to the strut tower to prevent problems.
I've just finished respraying as had some rust that needed fixing and went the original colour brought out with the car, but already had the 5k. IMO I'd say go the 5k while the engines out strip engine bay and give that a respray as I'm sure the almost 30 year old engine paint is looking nice and old.
5k and 5 speed (a must)
extractors
1.75" exhaust and new carbie/weber
Sit back and enjoy!!
Hi guys recently had a full respray on my ke70 and know have to put everything back on. Just wondering what people reconmended for sealing up rear tail lights as original rubbers aren't in the best shape?
Also what do people use to stick back on the rubber stripping on the side of there cars?
Cheers Scott
I went from a 4k with extractors, exhaust, 32/36 carbie and k50 gearbox (5 speed), to a 5k with same mods and noticed a big defference. IMO definately not worth it on the 4k. I ran 50.1 rwkw once having it tuned up.
I'd go with the 5k personally. I went from a 32 gts-t to the ke70 4k and it didn't take long before I had the 5 speed and 5k in it. Cheaper to get more power out of then the 4k and if you get from the right vehicle newer aswel.
check plugs first and replace cheap and easy. Next could be coil packs hard to check unless you can borrow off some1 to check, could also be fuel pump. Bosch 040 should do ya plenty. Also make sure you run these on 98 fuel as if its just a recent import asian fuel is a shit load better then any of ours.
As previously stated though the guys on SAU (Skylines Australia) in either the stagae section (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/forum/82-stagea-discussion/) or in the technical section (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/forum/8-forced-induction-performance/) will be able to help out.
Lol I'm sorry you may get a Carolla for that, but the power out of a rb25de-t I'm assuming s##ts all them. Best thing to do mate is jump on www.skylinesaustralia.com the guys the like here love there cars to a great deal and could give you some ideas on what it could be.
Beware this may be the biggest noob question ever but I'm trying to install my new boot seal and didn't pay attention to how my old one came off so got no idea how to put back on. Anyone know what sits where and/or have diagrams PLEASE????????????????
Just for anyone who is curious the code is AA/H2 which is the peak white from late 1970's to 1990, information sourced from protec paint so forgive me if its wrong lol. And cheers for the help TRD ke70
Sorry guys I know I'm digging up and old thread here but I've search google, Toyota, Ke70 and hardtuned but cannot find it anywhere. I need the paint code for a 1983 KE70 cs in white?
Help would be awesome
thanks in advance Scott
