  1. A ke20 crossmember wont fit in a 10 cause its to wide, and being a single lower control arm rather than an 'A' arm means you would have to run a castor/radius rod and weld mounts to the front chassis rail. Quite a lot of stuffing around if you ask me. As for the brakes, once a caliper is mounted securely it moves with the stub axle and tie rod end together. It has been quite a few years but i had this set-up on a previous ke10 i built.
  2. I just don't get it, you can't have a turbo or supercharger cos youre on you p's, but you want a 1.8 twin cam turbo. Why not just drop a 350 chev in it and be done with it. And while youre there you could put a nine inch in the rear and a tremec 5 speed, perfect for the track i reckon!
  3. You could also swap your struts left to right and vice versa which will put your brake calipers to the rear and away from the sway bar, you will need new brake hoses though but at least you will always have brakes there
  4. Edit: I'd like to add that lowered 'proper' springs with no short shock installed is no different to cut springs with no shocks (except for that weakening thing). Not quite, a 'proper' lowered spring would have a different spring rate compared to a 'cut' spring. For the same ride height a proper lowered spring would have say 7 coils whilst a cut spring would only have say 5 coils making it less effective. If you have no plan on a brake upgrade i would just fit some decent shocks and a set of kings springs. It might be worth checking to see if monroe have released their new GT sports shocks (short stroke) to suit a ke70
  5. Id be keeping the 3k, their a good little motor that revs nice. With the cam your planning i reckon a weber 32/36 carb woulb probably be the go and a set of decent extractors, 4 into 1. As for the revs at 100k's the engine capacity wont change that, but your diff gears will if your worried about it. Good luck with it all.
  6. Its worth getting the leafs reset for sure, the ride will be much better than with blocks, and if its done properly you should be able to get the height your after without flattening the spring. Make sure the spring eye gets reversed and you get about an inch off your height. I just had some ke10 leafs done and dropped the height 60mm and still have a nice bow in the spring.
  7. If your car was still jacked up and the rear suspension was at full travel its all good. Jack the diff up to normal ride height and your tailshaft should move further into the gearbox. You need this travel so the tailshaft doesnt 'bottom out' into the back of the gearbox going over bumps when driving.
  8. That sway bar should fit if you have standard brakes, fitted one to my ke10 a few years back and did not fit with ke30 brake conversion. Unfortunately i do not have any pics available.
